This worked really well. The set up was easy and the instructions worked well. It took a little bit to get the last part set up but, we got it done. This is just what we needed for the side door. Sometimes we need pet sitters and this was perfect.

This is such a practical door knob for roommate situation but we actually installed it on the garage door that leads into our home. This keeps intruders from entering our house in case the garage door is left open. Easy to install if you have changed out a knob before and is simple to use. Fingerprint is responsive and can also be accessed via an app. Would also be good on an exterior storage room. Nice addition with several applications.

The lock is easy to physically setup, it is just like any other common door knob. The only minor observation is in the design in that you have to feed the screws into the hold by hand almost all the way in (due to the length and obstruction from the wide knob) before you can use a screwdriver to tighten them.You place the batteries in the knob, which is held in by a Philips screw, and then load the Tuya smart app on your phone. Once you load the app (blue tooth must be enabled on your phone), create an account and it should recognize the device as HL Knob 1. It will walk you through setting up the fingerprint and associating that print with a person as you can multiple for the lock. There is a key as well, if for whatever reason, you cannot access the app. It has an autolock that you can turn off if you’d like.It is a good product and so far, it has worked well.

I got this to put on my closet door when I have visitors since I keep my jewelry, wallet, etc there. I’m super impressed! The battery charge lasts super long (still on first charge from when I got it months ago), and it works without fail! I love how easy it is to enable the lock or just have it like a regular doorknob. The build quality is pretty good and the instructions weren’t too complicated. Only thing is sometimes you might need to turn your finger a bit to get it to read but it’s nothing I’d knock against it.

The Hei Liang doorknob is a well-constructed, solid biometric doorknob. Installation was very simple, and the design is straightforward for what I need. The app does a good job of allowing you to manage functionality of the knobs operation.The one star missing is also tied to the app as I have had a few situations where I lost connectivity and had to log back in to perform commands and/or check statuses. This - however - does not take away from the main function of the device (which you can still control from the doorknob itself).Overall, a great buy.

Our front door has only one hole for a knob, no deadbolt. This was very easy to install, took out the old knob, popped this in in about 10 minutes. Now, the hard part. The app. The app is not great but does work well once navigated and explored to see what this knob is able to do. Holds up to 20 fingerprints and once I found where to add fingerprints, it was easy to record them on the knob. What I really like about this knob is I set it to be permanently locked. (Note: It only locks from the outside.) So, the front door is ALWAYS locked from the outside and always unlocked on the inside. Perfect! What's even better is that once the fingerprints are established on the knob, the app isn't really necessary anymore. Unless you want to add more fingerprints or change settings to certain lock times. Or you want to open the door through the app. (I don't.) So, add the fingerprints of the people you want to have access to your home and, well, the rest can stay outside where they belong. Note: the knob also comes with 2 keys so it can be opened with a key, say if the batteries die or the fingerprint fails.
