This fireproof 3-ring binder and accordion file organizer was an excellent purpose for our important document protection and organization. I can confirm it is water-resistant for document safety, and the durable construction with PP boards prevents damage from tearing or splitting, but there I did not confirm its fireproof capability. There is ample storage space with additional compartments to allow for multiple items. But be careful that you don't overfill the binder to strain the zipper's waterproof limitation.**Pros:**--Highly water-resistant exterior; easy wipe-down with a towel keeps items dry.--Claims to be made from acid-free, PVC-free materials that prevent ink transfer and maintain document integrity.--PP boards to prevent tearing and splitting, even when storing bulky projects.--Includes 13 pockets for sorting letter/A4-sized papers, bills, receipts, and more. I requested this item with the intention of using it to store my important documents, especially for tax-related information, as I have recently started working as a gig worker and an independent contractor. I needed a solution that would allow me to keep these documents safe and organized.Upon receiving the item, I immediately noticed that the handle felt cheap and did not seem to be fire-resistant, let alone fire-proof. However, the rest of the divider did appear to be fire-resistant.During my testing, I discovered that the straps were quite weak and susceptible to burning or melting at normal temperatures. Moreover, the divider itself melted when accidentally placed on a hot stove burner and even when exposed to a lighter and a match.As for the item's water-resistant capabilities, I decided to conduct a thorough test. I removed everything from inside the divider and submerged it in water for varying durations—10 seconds, 30 seconds, 60 seconds, and 120 seconds. After each test, I observed the extent of water leakage and found that there was noticeable water seepage, particularly around the seals, which would not provide sufficient protection against water damage for the stored items.Considering these findings, I cannot in good faith recommend this item. It does not live up to its claims of being fire-proof or water-proof. Furthermore, given its failure to fulfill its advertised purposes, I believe it is overpriced. There are better alternatives available at similar or lower prices that actually deliver on their promises.

I have been keeping some important documents around the house and have always felt they should be stored more securely. Then, I saw the BALAPERI Fireproof 3 Ring Binder Accordion File Organizer. This seemed exactly like what I needed. Thankfully, upon receiving it yesterday, my assumption proved to be correct. It is exactly what I needed but did not know existed. It has a 3-ring binder, various compartments of different sizes, and plastic sheet protectors. I can store my passport in one of the compartments that happens to be just the right size, and even some precious photographs can be stored along with the documents I want protected from fire and water and kept in one place. The organizer is then easily placed in a closet or file cabinet. It should be noted that even though the organizer is 14 inches, it will not hold legal-sized documents without folding them. It should also be noted that although the organizer is waterproof, the zipper is not. Documents can easily be transported in this organizer by simply using its handles.I am happy to recommend this BALAPERI Fireproof 3 Ring Binder Accordion File Organizer to anyone looking to store valuable documents safely, protecting them from fire and water damage. It is exactly what I was looking for and, frankly, what lots of people are likely looking for. I prefer it to getting a safe, which will take up valuable floor space and likely be carted off in the event of a robbery.
