I returned this item. The green light didn't work and the only option was a 6 hr timer, I wanted longer.

Easy to set up and use. Includes base stand for indoor use, and spike for outdoors. The lights only rotate, which I like, and always set them up with other projectors I have used. The brightness matches the one I purchased for twice the cost (granted it allows for programming static light color modes. Also, the motion is slower on this pricier model).At first, I needed clarification about changing the lights without a remote from red & green to only red or green (since the box indicated it was possible) by studying the minimal instructions more closely, I was surprised ti discover a remote control is not needed. I LOVE the low-tech concept of needing only a flashlight of some kind to shine into the back eye of a projector that auto-detects daylight and nightlight (which turns on/off the projector without needing a timer). When you hold the bright light, say from your cellphone flashlight or other light source, for 5-10 seconds the projector switches to another mode...very easy and convenient to do. Since I typically set and forget projectors to multi-colored motion displays, this works for me. If you desire more flexibility to program as the mood warrants, this would not be for you.If you like motion lights, whether red, green, or a combination of red and green, this is a good product.

I bought 3 of these, which I use to illuminate the oak tree in our yard. While there is a clear simplistic rotating pattern when projected onto a flat surface/building (undesirable), when projected onto the random branches of a tree, this pattern is undetectable, and it produces a very pretty sparkling red/green pattern on the tree leaves. For this purpose, it's great. Note that it seems to have some sort of light level detection and only operates in the dark, but that's fine for my purposes, and could probably be easily hacked.

Setup outside in cold eastern Ontario December. The lights look really nice at night and almost seem to float in the air when you look outside from in the house. A good price for these! Colours are great (green and red) and show up true to colour....not faded looking.
