My betta was having trouble getting his floating food before the filter moved it away. The feeding ring solved that problem and it’s resulted in less food falling to the bottom. He does spend a lot of time staring at it though 🤣

I’ve had this product for several months now after someone mentioned it in my turtle group. My turtle has now learned that’s where his food goes and it helps to keep it contained to one place so it doesn’t go all over and get soggy by time she finds it. Suction has only came off a handful of times and that’s because she climbs onto it.

It does what it's supposed to, but I don't find it helps as much as I thought it would. Anyone with a tank that has plants blocking the top will benefit from this, though.

Not sure how it works as a feeder as that is not what I bought it for. I bought it to teach my fish to swim through it to take food from my hand and it works perfectly for that.

After a couple of weeks, the black suction has markedly deformed but thankfully have a replacement suction cup that will work. Otherwise, this ring works great and our betta knows to look for food there. Periodically press the ring down for a few seconds so that the trapped surface film goes away. Otherwise, this niche product is a good buy.

This ring is basically the same thing that every other seller on Amazon seems to sell. The suction cup was made of what appears to be a rotting piece of rubber, and definitely would not hold to a tank. You'll want to buy a cheap, working suction cup set that includes "air line" holder inserts. The piece of the ring that fits into the original suction cup is almost a perfect fit for standard air tube/line holders. The second major problem, especially for Bettas but also for all fish, is that much of the plastic is very sharp. The edges of the ring itself are a bit sharp, but the corners near the pivot on the ring are VERY sharp. They would, as shipped, shred or injure any fish that brushes up against them.I used a mini file and some high-grit sandpaper to file all the edges (including around the ring) down to something more reasonable. I then soaked and sloshed the ring in some treated/tank water, to remove as much of the plastic particles (from filing/sanding) as possible.Be careful while sanding it, though. The arm that attaches to the suction cup is very flimsy and seems like it could easily break. Avoid putting any force on it while modifying the ring.A small problem is also that the floating foam that is inserted into the ring doesn't seem to be held in very well, and I'm a little concerned that it could leach chemicals or something into my tank. I'd much prefer a fully-plastic ring with a low-density plastic, and not something that requires foam to keep it afloat.Once modified, the ring seems to work fine (it floats and holds food in place) and the "aftermarket" suction cup I used is much higher quality, so it should hold well. I hope it is safe enough for my Betta. I haven't performed a partial water change/cleaning with the ring installed yet, so I hope the arm can hold it without snapping. It may need to be uninstalled and reinstalled when cleaning the tank.

Bruce Lee my Siamese Fighting fish loves this! Such a great idea.... he munches away nice and relaxed now and doesn't have to chase his floating pellets 🥰 Thanks for the idea!

If you want this to stick to your tank wall, it probably won't. As other reviewers have said, the suction cup stinks. It pretty immediately popped off as soon as I stuck it to the tank. The ring part is pretty decent, however.
