Every fisherman needs a pair of pliers like this to get those hooks out. It makes it so easy. This is made a great metal lightweight easy to handle Love it.

These should work as well as the old one that I had stored in my tackle box which is now a rusty mess. This tool is more sturdy than my original and last quite a while. The spring was loose in the bag when I opened it so I had to hold back one of the stars for that. It took quite a bit of finagling to get it back in place but once I did it works fine.

I used this fishing hook remover for the first time yesterday and quickly realized it's going to be a solid addition to my tackle gear. The spring-loaded grip makes it super easy to use with just one hand, and I love how it keeps my fingers away from the fishing hook. It’s way better than using my hands or short pliers to remove hooks.The stainless steel build seems sturdy, and I’m optimistic it’ll hold up well without rusting. I had one of these in my tool box and used it all the time for years, and then one day it broke.This is a great tool for reaching into things. Unlike the little spring grabbers, you can really get a grip on something with these and pull, or even twist some.I had no idea these were a fishing tool, or how cheap they are.These are identical to the ones I had for years.There is a million uses for these.They will be put to good use in my shop.Great item!

This hook remover is a great tool to easily remove hooks from smaller fish, especially ones that have "swallowed" the hook. Manufacturer states it can be used in both fresh and saltwater which is good as I plan on using it when I'm targeting certain water sources like perch in the ocean, high mountain lakes for trout, and in local rivers. The hook remover is lightweight and has a nice firm spring that grips great which hopefully will make it easier on releasing the fish after being hooked.

Here, on the Gulf coast of Texas, Flounder season is heating up and I needed to get ready to hook, catch, but be able to hook remove, some Big O'Flatties! And this light weight, highly functional, and very useful Long-neck Pliers will def come in handy for this and all future Flounder Seasons. And, I do not Bait-Discriminate when I go targeting Flounders: I will use Gulp, Lures, Live Shrimp/Mullet/Mud Minnows, even, a Gig - to legally get'em. Therefore, if a Big1 swallow my live-bait to deep, then I can carefully, meticulously, and precisely remove my lucky hook with these pliers. For any Saltwater Fisherman, this is a must-have in your tackle box. Get1!
