Price is good but these are not fly tying beads. These are glass beads that will only fit size 18 to 20 hooks with a wide gap. The thru hole is one size makes it hard to get it on hooks. Be caefull the beads do break if you force them

8/1/2023Item description lists these beads as metal, but product is actually plastic. Quality is poor, many beads are cylindrical and not spherical. Do not waste your money!

These fly head bead are a quarter of the size so they can't actually fit a hook through them and they're made of plastic not carbon steel like it says

This bead kit is basically a lifetime supply of small beads for tying nymphs and other sinking flies. The are simple and symmetrical with a hole straight through....i.e. not slotted or offset. They are also steel, so they are not as heavy as beads made from copper, brass, or (especially) tungsten. The price is super cheap in comparison to boutique, individually packaged beads made of heavier materials. These will work great for smaller, sinking flies that don't need to drop like a rock in the water column.

Lol..your dry flies won’t stay dry for long if you tie them with these. What they are good for is tying nymph’s and streamers, commonly called “bead heads”. In that capacity any fly fisherman who ties his own will be in heaven with these. A lifetime supply, for me anyways, of beads in silver, brass and blued with included flip top container to securely hold them.
