I bought these as a gift, and they performed as expected. They were easy to use and great value for the price. The additional clips and cords were useful and can be used for many things. These have quickly become a favorite tool for many tasks while out fishing!

The pliers are great, seem well made and the carrier for it is nice. I've only used the the fish grips like twice, they worked when I used them but they could probably be better. For the price though I mean can you complain? They work. It's not that I haven't caught plenty of fish, it's just I haven't needed the grips a whole lot yet everything has been under 5lb and catfish or striped bass and the line or my hands were plenty fine.

This kit is great for the price. I use the cables every time I go out to keep my stuff attached to my kayak and the scissors when I'm tieing lines and keep them in my life vest and the grippers work well also just need to catch more fish to test them out more

I have a secondary tackle box for lightweight fishing tackle that needed pliers and scissors. It would mostly be sitting unused unless I was going out specifically to the local ponds for small fish. That being the case I did not want to spend a ton of money on stuff that would mostly be sitting unused. This set looks like it would more or less fit the need.I have used the “Multi-Function Jaws” or pliers as I call them a few times and they work really well. At first glance they look cheap, but picking them up and using them you can tell they are well made. The addition of crimpers, split ring opener and wire cutter is a nice addition to make this more useful for fishing. There is an included sheath that I recommend you store the pliers in to keep them from snagging anything in the tackle box since the pliers are spring loaded and want to stay open.The Scissors are tight and sharp. I have used them to cut everything from line to card board.The fish grippers are nice quality and useful for species like Catfish or Walleye.I have used the retractor with my nail clippers. So far it has held up nicely with no issues.The coiled tether or lanyard is about the only thing in this kit that is not of decent quality. They are essentially just coiled plastic and will quickly begin to lose their coil and even then don’t really extend very far. They would be ok though to attach the scissors or pliers to help keep them from going overboard. I would not count on them to last as long as everything else in this kit though.The packaging is very simple and straightforward using cardboard and packing wrap with the tools secured with zip ties. When you go to cut off the plastic wrapping watch where you cut. Mine had the lanyards wrapped between the plastic. If you just went and started cutting through the wrapping you would cut right through the lanyards as well.At this price point this is an excellent kit to keep in your boat or tackle box. Except for the lanyards, which I think was a last minute throw in, everything is good quality and useful. You can’t go wrong using this kit yourself or using them as gifts.

There are ton of different combos out there with these types of tools. I own probably more than I need, but it’s allowed me to compare them to see which ones are better than the others so I feel like I have the experience to accurately review these items. To put it plainly, if you are in the market for tools like these, buy this set and look no further. You will be very happy with them. None of the tools feel cheap and they are all great quality. They all feel solid while using them. You can just feel the difference compared to other brands. The handles on the pliers feel nice and the all the cutting edges are sharp. It’s also very nice that they include the cords to prevent them from falling in the water. The case for the pliers is also very nice. If you buy this set, you will not regret it.
