  • Redfish Snook and Speckled Trout Love It: The Pasanhoo popping cork for saltwater is a mainstay in any inshore angler's tackle box. The noise and disturbance that it creates can draw the attention of a nearby predator in water with limited visibility. As you give a tug on the popping cork, it will cause your lure to bounce up off the bottom as if it is a shrimp or baitfish fleeing from a predator. It will then slowly fall back down to the bottom as you pause your retrieve
  • Beginner Friendly: This slip float rig is super easy to rig and use for beginners and effective at getting them to catch fish. All you have to do is be able to cast and move the rod tip every now and then. With the weight of the cork and bait/lure, you can launch this even during windy days
  • Keep Baits in the Strike Zone: Pasanhoo slip float rigs are one of the best and easiest ways to have direct control of the depth of your baits. Adjusting leader length determines where the bait sits in the water column, you can be sure your presentations are in the strike zone
  • Easier to Cast: Pasanhoo slip float rigs also provide casting weight, making it far easier to effectively present sometimes-small imitations of shrimp, crabs and minnows. Long casts allow you to reach more fish to and get the rig well away from the boat
  • Zero Line Twist: A long flexible steel wire with two swivels is connected to both ends of the cork to eliminate line twists between your main line and leader

Keep Baits in the Strike Zone

Pasanhoo slip float allows you to present a bait slowly at a measured depth and keep it in the strike zone. If you’re fishing for redfish along a marsh grass edge, that measured depth might be less than 2 feet. For trout feeding over the edge of a sandbar, it might be twice that depth. Either way, you can put your bait at a prescribed depth and work it in that depth.

This popping cork rig is ideal for speckled trout fishing; as they love topwater action, and it's super visible due to the bright colors too. It's weighted, so you can get some distance on your casts; which is a plus if you're pier or bank fishing. It seems to be strong enough to hold the big boys, and I've landed a redfish or two on it as well. Overall these are pretty good quality and priced about average. I'd most definitely buy them again, but so far they're holding up well.

The only reason for 4-star rating is when I compared these to my other popping corks, these were not equal to them, and I gave those a 5-star rating. These are well made and worth the purchase I'm sure, yet for me they come in second. These have steel cables my others have solid wire. The others pop better, yet these also work. To each his own, you may like these better for your reasons. I'm just learning the different uses of floating poppers and such. They help make fishing more exciting if you still fish from shore or if you head out in a boat. I ordered the 4 inch. Have a great day.

These brightly-colored lures help attract your target through both visuals and sound. Although they are superb for salt water, especially for stripers, they can be used in a variety of environments. They are good for long-distance casting and so easy to use - just attach to your reel and put on your hook.

These are best suited for salt water shore fishing due to the size. These seem to be made well and I look forward to trying them out the next time we go fishing.

Plug and play. I did not realize that this set of popping corks was so inclusive. It includes the leaders, with swivels and everything but the lure. Pretty impressive. I am a complete novice but this does most of the work to put this together. I was able to hear the "popping" sound that imitates the noise an active prey would make. Eager now to try it out around one of our hurricane ravaged piers. I will update this post as I gain experience.

I ordered the 4" size and they're perfect for fishing for Redfish and Speckled Trout in coastal bay waters. The distance from the weight under the cork to the hook is 2', so they're great for fishing in deeper water and the nice heavy lead wire can handle large fish. The swivel is well made and allows the popping cork to spin without tangling, and the heavier weight makes them easy to cast and keeps the cork upright in strong wind or rougher water. At $10 for 4, they're a great value as I'm used to paying 2 to 3 times this much for them at the bait shop.

These floats work very well. They're easy to tie and they're made very well. The paint and all the details are flawless. It does its job very well on rough water or calm water. Overall, this is a good number of floats to have in your tackle box when you're going for fish along the pier or the jetty.
