Very happy I picked up this bag, I’ve picked up several online over the years with varying degrees is satisfaction. This bags high on my list of good bags based on materials, design, manufacturing and size. I like to shore fish different styles and was looking to put together a bag specifically for shore jigging. This bag is an excellent size for all my jigging gear. My only regret is not getting the 4 boxes included. For the extra $10 bucks I think it’s a deal and you’re guaranteed to have the right size for the pocket. Back padding is comfortable and airy. Stamps are amply padded, easily adjustable and comfortable. I like the fact the main compartment divider is stitched in on one side with Velcro on the remaining 3. Holds in place much better than the completely detachable versions. Great stitching all around. Box X stitching critical strap connections. Heavy duty nylon sheds water well nice personal items pocket on side. Eyeglass storage on top. Good amount of well placed pockets without getting too pocket happy. Excellent zipper pulls especially if you wear gloves while fishing. Quality strap clips and well placed D rings to add a couple accessory bags or clip on your fishing tools or leader T’s. Rubberized bottom with footies for protection against wear and tear. Great when you’re fishing off lava rock. I don’t generally put my rods in the rod pockets but they make an excellent place to store a foldable net or a small shore gaff. All around fantastic midsize pack. I think it’s worth the price and better than anticipated at this price point. I’ve spent a lot more for a whole lot less. If you’re on the fence about the boxes included or not, I’d recommend getting them. Can’t really go wrong at $2.50 a piece and I instantly regretted not getting them. Might sell off my other packs and set 3 of these up for plugging, jigging, and dunking. Very Versatile use scenarios and more usable space than you probably need in a nice compact pack. Top pick for meMy grading scaleMy ratings are based on one or more of the following characteristics. Please note I consider 4 stars a very high rating.* 1 Star - unsatisfactory - poor quality - misleading or false ad copy - would not recommend to anyone* 2 Stars - below expectations, needs improvement - inferior materials And/Or design - poor value* 3 Stars - meets reasonable expectations of quality, design and durability at the price point* 4 Stars - Exceeded expectation - above average performance of materials, design and craftsmanship - good value - would recommend* Five stars - Truly outstanding - exceptional quality and design - exceeded all expectations of materials, design, craftsmanship, durability and value. Sandy received a fishing pole from our grandkids for her birthday…her very first one. So what does she do?? Accessorize!! She went bananas when it arrived (in perfect condition); now she wants to buy all kinds of tackle to fill the plastic boxes…and back up earrings, change, bandages, etc. Still hasn’t gone fishing yet, but she’s having a great time becoming an angler!

I ordered this tackle backpack specifically to use as a trout tackle bag, and overall, I’m very pleased with it. The backpack offers a range of well-thought-out features along with some areas that could be improved.Pros:It has excellent tackle box storage and a large top pocket, plus nine smaller pockets around the exterior. The back cushion and shoulder straps are very comfortable, and the breast buckle is a great addition for hiking in with your gear. The stitching feels solid, and the handle is impressively strong. I especially appreciate the pliers pocket on top, which is always within easy reach. The materials, zippers, and zipper pulls are all durable and high-quality.Cons (refer to last two pictures):The lack of dividers inside the pockets means that items tend to pile up and lay on top of each other, which can make organization tricky. The shoulder strap adjustment uses a loop design, making it difficult to tighten the backpack straps while wearing it.Neutral Features:The tackle box storage and top compartment can be separated by a Velcro shelf, or you can create one large pocket by removing the shelf. While this versatility is nice, I personally avoid bags with rod storage since I don’t use it, and it feels like wasted space for me.Overall, despite a few cons, I really like this tackle bag. Its thoughtful design and durable build make it a great choice for anyone looking for a reliable fishing backpack.

I like the fact that it's really sturdy and seems to be very durable. I also like that it has plenty of purposeful pockets for all my gear. The 2 rod holders and holder for my collapsible net also helps since I wade in the water. Great bag for the money!
