The shape and size are perfect. It fits the existing shift boot frame nicely and all the holes line up. The material feels and looks nice.The problem is at the top of the boot where it fits around the gear stick. Instead of being finished and stitched together, the tops of the different segments just kind of hang there loosely and it looks unfinished. You can tuck the pieces in around the gear stick but it doesn't look quite right. I tried to secure them with a zip tie but that didn't work either.Kind of a bummer when the rest of the boot looks so nice.Not bad for the price I guess.

The original leather shifter boot on my "new to me" 2000 SE Miata was looking rough and needed replacement so I decided to give this one a try. After removing the center console the old boot is removed by taking out the four screws holding the plastic frame in place. The new cover fit the tabs on the frame perfectly. The only difference I can see from the original is that the original has a metallic ring on the top for the shift lever to fit through. If the ring had been there, it would be a definite 5 stars. This is a good product and really improved the look of my car. I would recommend to anyone with a tan interior Miata.
