People, GET OVER your Dumbwool, FITS IS THE BEST MERINO WOOL SOCK MAKER. First, they actually use a lot more wool. Look at the fiber content of other brands - don't just believe its mostly merino wool because they say it is. 55% maybe?Second they really do fit SO much better. Third, they are holding up amazingly over FIVE YEARS in my experience too!I sold gear for years at REI and two local indie shops, and went through clinic after clinic with reps from competitors, but FITS never tried to brainwash us into selling more of their stuff. The quality sells itself. I have two brand allegiances in life: my dish soap, and FITS socks. For reasons!

Ordered both the FITS Light over the calf (parent) in size medium and a FITS ultra light over the calf (pinnacle) in size small. Tried on a female with foot size 8 who felt sizing was true to size as the small was a little tight and the medium was the right size. Between the two styles of sock, the LIGHT was the superior model. The ULTRA LIGHT was very thin (makes sense why it is marketed as ultra light) and lacked padding which is useful for ski season. Between the two models, I would opt for the thicker version. That being said, neither impressed me.

These socks came highly recommended by my doctor. She really likes them and even had a pair on the day I was in her office. I really liked the feel of the socks and was hopeful that they would fit as expected. Unfortunately, I do not have skinny calves so they would not stay up. I plan to try a medium to see if they will fit better, but I'm concerned that the foot part might be too big since I wear a size 6 1/2 shoe. I ordered a small based on their chart.

I wear a size 13 US, so I bought the XXL. These stupid things are so tight that I can barely get them over my heel, they cut into the top of my foot at the grey line, and there's a stupid fabric nipple at the toe that will bunch up when in use.

Fits well, not too tight, not too loose. Material is not piling up like other name brand ski socks I own. No shrinkage after laundering. I use silicone spray to get into my boots and this has not had any negative effects on the socks. Very pleased I decided to give these a try.

This is my second pair. I wore my first pair out after over 50 wears. These keep my slightly too small boots perfect. Anything thicker and its uncomfortable. These are perfect. Worth every penny.

Always try to buy FITS socks as they are always a great fit comfortable and last forever. When you put these socks on it feels like you have on a new pair of shoes. I totally recommend these socks
