Nicely made product. Allows seat to mount easily with a smooth swivel action. There’s a lot of choices out there and I sent back two other designs. This one works.

These boat seat mounts seem to be a fairly nice item, except for two things.1) They're not interchangable with other common mounting brackets. You'll have to replace both the base & seat mounts.2) The locking mechanisms on these brackets require that material be removed from beneath the base mount, if you're using them on a flat surface. Otherwise, you'll never be able to attach or remove the seat, and considering that these are designed so that the seats can be removed..., that's a big problem!

They are plastic, but really heavy duty molding.

I just installed on my fishing boat. Easy to install and appear sturdy. However it is difficult to detach the top section from the bottom. I hope after sume use it becomes more user friendly.

These brackets are exactly what I needed to repair my old boat seats. Not exactly original equipment, but they work great.The value for the money is what got my purchase.The way they actually work is what makes me happy with my purchase.A little tricky to install, but only because of the difficulty in taking the old seats out.
