I bought two of these vented loops, and while they do work, they are extremely cheaply made compared to other known brands that are only slightly more expensive. Personally, I would NOT use these on anything below the waterline or in any kind of commercial or critical application.

I installed a new head in my boat and bought this to complete the install. The head is fresh water flushed and only goes into a holding tank . The tank sits in the bilge below the head and therefore any water in the bowl eventually leaks out and you get a smell. So I installed this as a trap and it now keeps water in the bowl. It works well.

Installed this a couple of feet above the waterline for our marine toilet. After every flush you can hear the air sucking through the valve. Working perfectly and for a great price

Breaks the siphon every time, works great, my 1" poly hose pushed right on with a perfect fit. Not being used in a boat but does the same job.Could not have asked for a better device for the job

A fraction of the price of the competitor brand, but does the same thing. It's a good solid product that does what it needs to (place a vent above the water line so that your head doesn't keep siphoning water in and over filling). Why pay more?
