This bar stool is sturdy, and it is comfortable enough, but not as comfortable as I expected it to be. I have problems with calling this chair "rattan". The strands of the seat and back are patterned after rattan, but they are made of black plastic. Rattan is a vegetable product, not an artificial plastic product.The height is appropriate for a bar stool, and it is quite sturdy. It is pretty comfortable, but not luxuriously comfortable. The foot rest is at a good height for me. The chair will support at least 230 pounds. It will do the job. I took away a half star for comfort and another half star for calling plastic strands "rattan". That does not mean it isn't a good chair. It is, and I suspect it will last a long time. It is a good value for the money.

I had already broken down the giant box (for recycling) which this barstool arrived in and wish I knew then when I know now; I would have assembled this on top of the cardboard box because there were tiny and SHARP metal shavings all over my floor after I put this together, which I only learned of the hard way.This barstool looks nice, is comfortable, and is a great neutral color, but it was NOT "simple" to put together as shown in the description. I scratched up the insides of the legs pretty good until realizing I could lie this down and "stretch" the metal legs away from the body of the chair by using my knee on the inside, while inserting the spacers.Also, the list of hardware shows small screws which were not included, only the large ones were.Durable, with no metal at the bottoms of the feet so it glides easily and won't scratch up your floors.

Chair came almost fully assemble with only the foot bar unattached. Overall a nice chair, seems well made for the type of chair it is. However, there are no screws/bolts to attach the foot bar to the chair. No where. A complete tear down of the box, a total search of every piece of paper wrapped around the chair and nothing. So, I will need to go find some screws to attach the foot bar. Which is always fun, to hunt for something that should have been included. Can't give more than two stars if you can't include the needed items for your product.

I have an open deck in my backyard where I love to sit and sip wine. At the moment, I have two low deck chairs that just aren't quite what I've been looking for. I absolutely love the wicker look, but with my patio furniture open to the elements, a waterproof material is essential.This chair ticks off all of the boxes for me. The height is perfect for resting my wine glass on the railing as I watch the sunset over the mountains. It's made of waterproof material, and the weave keeps rain from puddling in the seat. I'm short--5'4"-- and the bar near the base allows me to place my feet comfortably. I also have a very tall daughter who finds it equally convenient to rest her feet. She's strong and muscular, and the chair can handle her additional weight without issue. The back is fairly low, so it's perfect for leaning forward on a table, but if you want to lean back, it's less comfortable (but not uncomfortable by any means).The assembly was mostly a breeze. It only required one large piece to be screwed on with an Allen wrench. I would have loved an extra piece or two, as we lost one of our screw caps for quite some time.

I got this chair as a replacement for the stool that goes with my simple standing desk. I just need a chair for an occasional break during the day, but wanted something that would enhance, not detract, from my office style. This fit the bill! It is sturdy and well made, and looks nice with the dark wood of the desk. It wouldn't be comfortable to sit in all day, but that's not what it is made for. Does its job and looks stylish.
