The Good:This “Minsk X725” unit is light. I measured it as 6.6 oz, about 190 grams. Considering that in the old days, one D cell would weigh almost 140 grams. This unit puts out A LOT more light than an old style flash light and weighs half as much.The listing says “IPX5 waterproof” which is pretty good. You can’t use it under water, but it will hold up fine if you have it when you get drenched in the rain. I expect it will hold up pretty well if you drop it in a puddle, provided you fish it out right away and don’t make a habit of it.It says on the case it is CE and FCC and inside the lens it says "FCC ROHS." The CE, European equivalent to UL in the US is a good to see for anything that stores power. The FCC marking, I guess that is because it has electronics inside and they have to avoid stray radio frequency noise that could goof up your radio. I had to look up FCC ROHS and it turns out they have nothing to do with each other. ROHS means "Restriction of Hazardous Substance," a European standard for restricting hazardous substances in several types of electronics.You can focus the beam so the whole, quite bright, output goes into a narrow area. I measured it making a spot 27 inches wide at 25 feet.Having the combination of lights is pretty nice. The main light can be directed at something you want to see in particular but the side light can put out light in an area. It has 30 white LEDs, five banks of six each. Along with four pairs of red LEDs for red mode.It has no less than nine modes (see “The Bad”) which can be selected using two buttons pressed multiple times in sequence. The good news is, once it has been on for a while, it is smart enough to know that you won’t be selecting another mode but will be turning it off, so one button on brightest main beam (use it for 10 seconds) and one button turns it off.It can function as a power bank to charge (say) your phone. How I wish they had come up with that years ago, but I am glad they have it now. If you want to be picky, the battery in my phone is 5000 mAh and this stores less than that. Meanwhile, if your phone is dead, would you rather have an incomplete charge and be able to use it or be without a phone?The bad:It is very round. I have not had it roll off the table but it was close. When the table is not slanted, it does pretty well. It seems to be slightly heavier on one side so the “COB Sidelight” points up. Is that on purpose? I don’t know but it works out well (that’s good). (What’s COB about it? I had to look that up, COB is “Chip On Board.” There are lots of little bitty (but bitty but bright) LEDs mounted on the circuit board.)The battery is non-removable (that I can find). Maybe that’s just as well. When the battery stops taking a charge, a replacement will cost more than the light and a replacement light will be a lot better by then, anyway.I feel as though it tries too hard. There are nine modes: The main light high, main light medium, main light low, main “strobe” (flashing about twice per second, whatever that’s for) and “SOS” -PLUS- side light high, side light low, side light red and side light flashing red. The flashing red could be useful if you are using this as a warning lightIt does not do SOS the way I learned in Boy Scouts, it signals … --- … … --- … which spells SOS in Morse Code but not SOSOSOSOSOS the way I learned, (picky, picky).The listing says it has a 5000 mAh battery while on the side of the unit it says “Battery model:21700 capacity:3500 mAh.” It just happens that 21700 type batteries -MAY- be able to supply 5000 mAh under some circumstances but the listing is misleading. That goes along with the pictures that show the light illuminating the whole neighborhood. It will light things up pretty well but 2000 lumens is a bit more than you would get from an old style 100 watt light bulb. Having it focused in a small area is pretty neat but it’s not going to light up the whole yard.I measured the light output several different ways and the best I got was about 800 lumens. The listing says, “brightness is up to 2000 lumens.” I don’t know where they get their numbers from. For a flashlight, that is plenty bright, 2000 would be better

Very bright. It's nice that it has an option for a flood light as well as a directed flashlight.The clip is also a nice feature where you can attach it to a backpack or or something else to keep it close by and available.Charge seems to last a while and it charged up pretty quick the first time I used it.

Great Flashlight. Lightweight, durable and the number of lighting options is where this product really shines. The main flash has scope that allows you to adjust the width of the beam, from a large that pretty much covered the entire backyard to a almost pin light for up close detail and tight spaces. It has several options including 2 types of flashing signals. The side light is great for reading instructions, a book, or a map. It has a red and white light system that both can be used in emergency situations if you get stuck on a road in the middle of the night and need assistance. Both of these also has a flashing options to warn others that you are on the side of the road at night.Got to keep it charged up according to the instructions so I don't think its something you would just leave in the trunk for months at a time.Overall extremely pleased.

This is by far the brightest flashlight I have ever had, it can light up a room on its own, it is super powerful. The aluminum construction is solid but it can get hot near the bulb area. Rechargeable USB cord is included, can also be used as a power bank, and it is recommended to have a 5v 2A adapter (not included). This flashlight has a red emergency light feature, a removable clip for hanging and is the perfect size to carry anywhere. I would highly recommend keeping this light at the ready.
