All lengths are ACTUAL STRING LENGTH - Not AMO Length The Flemish twist or braided design is much easier to adjust in length as it can be twisted tighter when the string stretches, and is easier to attach string silencers. This unique feature allows for much easier and exact brace height adjustment. B-50 Dacron string material is easier on the bow limb tips with more stretch. Trad Gear Strings are of the traditional three-bundle style with 15 strands creating a rounder, stronger, and more abrasion resistant string than the lesser quality 2 bundle or continuous length strings.. Center served with #4 nylon serving. Strand colors are 2 brown and 1 yellow bundles, resulting in a very beautiful traditional bowstring. HOW TO MEASURE FOR A NEW STRING Measure the bow string that you currently have and round up to the nearest full inch. B-50 Dacron strings will stretch a bit as they are broken in. If you DO NOT know the length of your bow string, or the string is missing, a good rule of thumb is that a longbow will take a string approximately 3" shorter than they are marked and a recurve bow generally takes a 4" shorter bow string. So, if your bow is a recurve and has marking such as AMO 60" or 60" AMO , a 56" actual length bow string should be the proper length. IF YOU ARE UNSURE TRY A INTERNET SEARCH, THERE IS LOTS OF GREAT INFORMATION AVAILABLE ON HOW TO PROPERLY MEASURE FOR THE CORRECT BOWSTRING Trad Gear Flemish strings are made 15 individual strands of string material twisted and braided upon themselves. It is possible for the area by the string loops to appear to be fraying. PLEASE NOTE this is common and is not a damaged string. To remove the fraying rub your hand on the strands to work them down. The wax in the string will hold the strands down, but may appear after some use. You can trim the fraying strands, but this is not recommended. If the wax is not holding the stands down, you can apply some additional bowstring wax to the string.

No issues at all yet been using them on two recurves for about 3 weeks shooting daily. these strings are better than the ones I used to make myself with a string jig. That means more experienced or skilled fellow that's making them. Also all strings require wax....keep the strings waxed...they'll serve you for a long time!

This is a good quality product but the details given in the product description did not adequately explain what might be the optimal use or how it should be determined whether it would work for you. I ended up returning it.
