Product will continue to work on the surface until rinsed. You MUST rinse the surface with water after application and neutralize the formula to prevent and encroachment on the surface itself. Along with the polish. This spray cleans and nuetralizes the oxide on your aluminum surface making polishing much easier and cleaner.

I have a tailgate aluminum panel from a 1990 F-series truck that was streaked, this took it off, Mother's polish didn't touch it. This in combo with their polish makes it look new.
