Our house has carpeting in the room where we place the Christmas tree. The four legs in the stand would wobble and the tree (7 ft artificial) would lean. I was looking for a round board to stabilize it. This worked very well. The plastic material is similar to the snow coasters we used to buy for the children to go sledding. Except, obviously, the bottom of this tray is flat.

I thought this was the old standard tree holder. But that parts do not assemble into a rigid structure but instead create 4 pillars you would have to hold in place just to insert the tree. There even the plastic ones they are selling are a better bet as you can preset to an estimated stump size

My Moon bought me this same product years ago (possibly 20 or a bit more) while she worked at Longs Drugstore. It eventually got broken and I’m so glad I found the exact same one. Great for all surfaces, creating a more flat surfaces over carpet and protective barrier for your flooring.

I already have a tree tray, coved with duct tape & crushed edges from heavy packages being set on it. It’s always been flimsy and probably 20 years old now….I wasn’t really shopping for a new one, but saw this and thought it would be nice to have a spare around. Nope, it’s now my new #1! This tray is sturdy, there won’t be any crushed edges with it! Not a chance of leaking water onto the floor from a spill while watering the tree either. Yet the bottom is smooth enough to slide on the floor, so I can decorate my tree on all sides, then slide it into place.

Doesn't matter if your Christmas tree is real or artificial - this will protect your floors from scratching and from water damage! We've had ours for 20 years and just gifted another to our son & his wife. PLUS it works well for large house plants or a group of house plants to either water from or as a drip tray!

I've had this before and loved it. Was looking for it again and was so happy to find it on Amazon! I have had both real and artificial trees. With real trees, it helped prevent water from reaching the floor beneath and caught many of the falling needles. With the artificial tree, I love it mostly for its other benefit. I can assemble the tree in the center of the room on the tray, decorate it completely and then carefully slide it into position in front of the window. No more having to have 2 people awkwardly passing strings of light in tight places! It slides easily on both wood floors and carpet. Just be careful not to step on the raised edge. It will crack. possibly cracking the entire tray.

This was a great purchase. I bought it to keep any accidental overflows or misses when reaching to water an extra wide tree from soaking into the carpet. It does that just perfectly. It also keeps my tree stand and heavy tree from wearing a deep ring in the carpet. Last year I had a ring in my carpet for months from the weight of the tree, stand, and water in one place for 5 weeks. This tray distributes the weight beautifully, so that won't happen. I've already checked under this tray, and no ring! That brings me to the unexpected bonus of this tray. Christmas trees can be a pain to move around, especially for one person. With this tray, it's a breeze! I wasn't even thinking about that when I made the purchase, but it has been a great bonus for this item. It's like a giant furniture slider. I can move the tree around by myself with no effort at all. Such a simple purchase, but so many great things about it. Oh, and if you don't have a tree skirt, it's actually decorative as well. It's got Santa and Reindeer adorning it all the way around the base. Yet another nice surprise. I definitely recommend one of these for anyone with a live Christmas tree.

This is the best thing you can have if you use cut christmas trees. It's great that you don't have to worry about water getting on the rug or floor. Its inexpensive and lasts forever (as long as you don't store furniture on top of it).I had one for years and was so glad when I found this online.
