Fantastic bag! I ordered several $400+ bags in order to choose one to give to my girlfriend at her graduation from medical school. This bag was the nicest of all those that I ordered. It is extremely well made with beautiful, soft leather. The interior, zippered, center pocket appears to be constructed of full, suede leather and the back, zipper, exterior pocket has a nice, stripped fabric lining. The front buckle is impressively solid and well made. As mentioned in other reviews, the shoulder strap is a bit thin, but it also helps give the bag a lighter look.

The Floto Parma Edition Italian Leather Calf-Skin Briefcase is in a class all its own. I've owned many a good briefcase/laptop case over the years, but never one this complete -- in every sense of the word -- with contrasting gold accent stitching that's second to none. It is quite a head turner with a surprising amount of room inside, comfortably fitting my MacBook Air (in a Civilian Envelope Sleeve), iPad 4 (in a Bear Motion Luxury Case), Canon iP100 mobile printer, Canon ImageFORMULA P-150 scanner (in its carrying bag), and miscellaneous sundry items -- all without the appearance of a bulge. I love this case.I'd seriously considered a different Italian brand (with an interior lightbulb) at twice the price of the Floto but decided ultimately that no lightbulb is worth $340. The truth is, the Floto Parma Edition Italian Leather Calf-Skin Briefcase would easily sell for twice its price and still be worth every penny. Yes, it is that good. And although I've only had mine for three weeks as of this writing, its durability is transparent in the meticulous craftsmanship and quality of the leather. It ships with a cloth bag which I use to protect the case from scratches in crowded airline overhead compartments.My only beef is with the adjustable leather shoulder strap that also ships with the case -- when attached to the side hooks, it's buckles have a tendency to come partially unhinged and grasp onto the corners of the case. But that's an accessory I don't plan to use much. Besides, the case also has top-mounted hooks which seem to work much better for the shoulder strap.If you are looking for excellent materials and impeccable workmanship in a distinctive briefcase/laptop case of the highest quality construction, the Floto Parma Edition Italian Leather Calf-Skin Briefcase is one you can't go wrong with.

This briefcase is simply beautiful and is worth every penny. If you appreciate great craftsmanship and beautiful leather, it will be hard to find a better briefcase in this price range. This case could easily sell for twice the price. I love the stitching and the leather that will age beautifully. The leather used for this case reminds me of the belting leather used in my Atlas attaché case. The natural markings makes the briefcase unique and standout among other polished leather cases. The only improvement I would make is the strap. The strap simply is too flimsy and thin to complement this beautiful case-I detached mine. I found the widerand higher quality Floto Parma leather strap on Amazon for $49 to $59 but the strap is not really necessary. I wish Floto had included this strap with the briefcase because this briefcase deserves it. I still give this briefcase five stars.
