This sifter is about useless for sifting. The bottom screen isn't tight so as the bar goes back and forth there is a gap between the screen and bar. It doesn't sift and you end up tapping on the side to get the flour through the screen, and even that didn't work too good. A poor design from the start can't be made up for in manufacturing.

Bought this four months ago and just tried to use it today. The sifter mechanism only seems to work when there is barely anything in it. Even when it does work it takes way to long to sift anything. Do yourself a favor and pay a liittle more for a real product.

If you are bored out of your mind. This sifter is for you! It will take hours of squeezing the handle on this sifter to accomplish even a cup of sifted product. Don’t waste your time or money on this sifter.

I have a sifter that belonged to my grandmother so it's probably close to 80 to 90 years old! Thought I'd try a new style and it just doesn't get the job done. To be fair I use almond flour and the mesh on this item is just too fine to do anything but get stuff stuck in it. It may work better with regular flour but I found that even baking powder did not sift well. I love my old sifter and it takes care of all my wants and needs with baking so I guess I should just stop trying to improve on perfect.

I have always used a metal sifter and was skeptical of plastic but this works great!
