When the package came, the inside is not really secured, so the minute that I opened the box, all of the items tumbled free. I have not had a chance to press any flowers, yet, but the kit does have everything that it states it has and the press itself is cute, although the "boards" are a bit thin for my taste if you are to be screwing them down tightly. I am not sure if they would crack under too much pressure, or not. Overall, it's a nice beginner kit! :)

This wooden flower press is exactly as described. But there were no written instructions enclosed. If you ordered it for yourself there is a short video on the listing which briefly shows how to use it. But if you were to gift it I would imagine that the recipient would have to search for instructions online. This wooden flower press is well made and includes everything needed to press multiple layers of flowers. I like that the drying plates can be reused after putting them on medium heat in the microwave for 30 seconds. I was a bit confused about what the seven needle tool was used for but their video showed that you pierce the end of a leaf where it meets the stem — I assume to soften it so that it can be pressed flat and so any moisture in that thick section can be released. Please see my photos.

I don't have a lot of experience with pressing flowers. I think I let these get too far gone before pressing, so the results are a bit meh, but the mechanics worked well. I think if I started with a fresh flower it would be better.I had to go on to the listing to see the instructions, and none come with the set. The set includes the two wooden boards with 4 holes in the corners, the bolts and nuts, several sponge sheets, water absorbing sheets, and lining papers. I was able to press these 3 flowers at the same time, and could have done 3 more. The instructions say to put the bottom board with the bolts facing up through the holes, then a mesh sheet, a water absorbing sheet, a lining sheet, then your flower. Then you take their "7-point" tool - a handle with 7 metal spikes, and poke through the flower. Not sure the why on this, but I did as I was told. Then you put another lining sheet on top. Then you can repeat if you have more flowers, or put on the wooden top and screw the nuts down. I found that when the nuts get to the board, you COULD tighten more by holding the bottom bolt with pliers, but then I found that warped the wood as it was TOO tight. So I backed off and just finger tightened the nuts. Then you wait 4 - 7 days. I don't know how you decide, as I couldn't tell anything from outside of the process, so I waited 7 days. The flowers were indeed dry and pretty flat. Again, I think if I'd started with fresher flowers, the results would have looked better. The water absorbing sheets were definitely damp, although I couldn't squeeze water from them like the video online showed. I put them in the microwave twice, 30 seconds each time, but they still seemed perhaps damp, so I've laid them out on the deck to dry more fully before I put everything away.It also came with some other tools - little scissors, tweezers, and small box-knife, to cut your flower before, and to tweeze it from the lining paper. All in all a pretty easy process, now that I've found the instructions. It worked well, and handily stores away in the box it came in.

I have been pressing flowers in books for years and never really thought I needed a dedicated tool, but then I started including dried flowers in my resin art… and I started ruining a lot of books. 😂This thing is brilliant! EASY to use! Absolutely kid friendly! It includes everything you need, right down to the scissors! It’s a great size for me because it’s big enough for all my garden flowers without being too big to store away. The pressing sheets can be dried out and reused as many times as you want. The screws are easy to tighten and loosen and allow for a huge variety of flower thicknesses, from petals to entire roses.Overall, I’m super happy with this set! It was a super affordable AND far more effective than continuing to ruin books!

This product arrived as described, well packaged, and on time.I have been into pressing flowers for several decades and finally decided to order a press. A feature I liked was that it came with useful tools I haven't always implemented in keeping up my amateur hobby.I was excited to open the box, which was well packaged and I easily found everything. There were no observable instructions (not a fan of this) so I haphazardly made a guess as to how I should use it on my first attempt. Everything came together nicely and I felt like it went smoothly. Following [my self-defined] wait period, I opened the press and was truly impressed with the results. Admittedly, my DIY methods are decent but this turned out great. And, I like the press so much I have kept it a secret from my artsy daughter so she won't steal it from me!The value and quality of this press are outstanding and results are true. I can confidently recommend this product for personal use or as a gift.

It worked amazingly! Everything in it worked as intended. It did not come with instructions, but some youtube videos were watched and it wasn't very hard to figure out. It was large enough to put plenty of flowers in at one time.

We found this to be complicated and not worth the effort time and energy. Lots of pieces and no clear instructions.
