Original 2019 Review:Fits great and sounds even better! Makes my 2.7L V6 truck actually have a deep and semi-aggressive tone to sound like an actual truck If I had the 5.0 V8 then the sound would be fully aggressive. Anyways Iām happy. Installation went easy, just had to replace the flex pipe as well when removing the stock muffler.Update 2020:Still a good product but very prone to rust. Now I usually wash my car every time it gets dirty and do an under carriage flush too. Especially when it snows and with salt. But still would have hoped it last longer then what it did. Doing a z-bar coat would help with the rust issue but still expected better quality up front.Still overall like having it so take it or leave it.

So I was looking for a nice rumble for my 02 4.7 Grand Cherokee.I wanted something that wasent annoyingly loud but sounded good.I went thru 3,yes 3 different mufflers then tried this one. This one was the sound I was looking for. Sounds good but not annoyingly loud.I didnt notice any drone and quiet on the highway. Maybe any negative reviews are from people putting it on something other than a V8.But I love it and I'm happy with its quality

Amazing muffler, sound is great. Installed it yesterday and my Jeep roars and rumbles with it very nice. One of my coworkers thought I changed the engine. Sound is really good paired with a dual short ram intake (like a double cold air intake but very close to the throttle body) on my Jeep Liberty. Drove back and forth from work with no issues from police or anything. Did my own installation with clamps and it took me less than two hours to cut off the old one and do a very good installation, sealing joints and everything. A few of my coworkers want to order it for their cars. Very nice job from Flowmaster. Will make a nice trip over 160 miles and will post update.

I ordered this muffler for my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited V8 and with Amazon prime it came in two days. I just got done installing my muffler this afternoon and let me say that it sounds great. The sound will change some once it's more broken in but from the start it has a nice throaty tone and through the acceleration it sounds really nice. Cabin noise and drone is not too bad in my experience but we I'll see as the muffler gets more mileage on it. Overall a great buy for 80bucks. Install was fairly easy.. It was not 100% bolt on but with a hacksaw, a few new 2.5" exhaust clamps from autozone and a 2.5" - 18" extension pipe (stock muffler is longer than Super 44) cut to fit as needed. Overall cost me $15 at autozone for additional parts. I read a lot of the jeep forums and other consumer reviews about this product. From the ease of install to the quality of sound.. All of my expectations have been exceeded for all a $80 muffler can do.

difference is night and day, just got done test driving for my truck its 2.5" in 2.5 out pretty simple wanted a both on kit but i wasnt dumping that money into the same thing i just did for 100 total. the truck is super loud and deep going lightly on the pedal thru gears it gets worse once you maintain speed its signifigantly quiets down, and when your on it sounds very agressive ...beautiful! now i dont have to pound the gas to listen to the k&n screem which is what i wanted bc i cant help but do it to hear the sound, its very deep in the cab aswell and has a real nice resonance, not a crackle and no back fire just a real smooth sound when u smack the gas quick. over all im very pleased with the buy ...just hope im not near a cop having a bad day at the red light hahaThings you will need other then your input/output sizes, are 2 adapters a sleeve atleast for my app. beacause this muffler is 21" lenght and stock was 25" plus the inch i left on enableingme to reuse all stock hangers with perfect clearance.but needed to fill an 8" gap aprox. between the muffler and tail piece i recommend welding all seams i dont like clamps but thats just me i also sprayed all weld areas and exsposed muffler immediately after cooling time with high temp and galvinizer to prevent any rust issues after all its my work truck and its new york so theres plenty of salt which leads me to my next observation this muffler is solid with all welded seams it would be hard to damage this thing unless you seriously bottom out violently.its also half the weight of my stock muffler so i figure less stress on the pipes or less net weight if thats your thing..As for power that to is noticable i tap my gas and im hitting 30mph with no effort, the torqe is also noticable im estimating 25-40 hp but i also have a stage 3 cold air intake to match. hope this help people like me that need a little more info ..good luck

I did a lot of research before buying this muffler. I own a 2006 Jeep Unlimited and I wanted to find a muffler that was deep in sound, no drone at highway speeds, was tough enough for off road abuse, and had some performance gains. I found all four with this muffler. It sounds amazing. I coupled it with a 2.5 inch tail pipe and I'm super stoked with the outcome. My gas mileage has improved a little too. If you're looking for a good quality muffler with some bark when it's needed, and quiet when it's not, this is what you're looking for. I'd highly recomend the super 44 by flowmaster.
