Flapper leaks, so the tank level drops and then fills again on its on.The rubber is too hard and deformed to create a good seal. Seems like a design flaw.I’m disappointed, wasted time putting this in and no I have to send it back for a refund.

Very positive seal at the flapper. The gotcha with American Standard is the hole in the tank is much larger than the thread allowing for misalignment and leakage at the tank gasket. The supplied gasket is not self-centering and to keep it from leaking past the threads I had to use the old AS wedge-shaped gasket. Finally got it to seal. It was most exasperating.

It says bolts and gasket sold separately, however my kit came with it. So I bought a $15 un-refundable bolts and gasket kit. I’m out $20 because of fluidmasters false information. Otherwise the kit works great and fluidmaster makes top notch profits.

After buying one of these at the big box store, in which the overflow tube was too short and the flapper shut too early regardless of where I put the chain!???? This was a godsend.Yes you HAVE to cut the tube, says so in the instructions. Cut it too long first then check it. I'd rather be in control of how long the tube is. If you have to install a new fill valve the top of it should be 3 inches above the top of this overflow tube.First hole I put the flapper chain on voila, worked perfectly. Toilet is again running perfectly, thank you!

After 30yrs of faithful service, the ACE Hardware flush valve wore out. I replaced every part of the 1966 vintage American Standard toilet, with Flowmaster products, except for the flushing handle. No more slow leaks, and a much stronger flushing action. Very easy directions to follow.

Had to trim a little off the length. Used on a Universal Rundle . It's been in use for several months and has performed well so far. Easy to install. Seems expensive for what it is but serves it's purpose.

The plastic insert of the flush valve of an early American Standard one piece toilet had broken. So I bought this 2 inch replacement part in the hopes it would fit. The toilet thread however was a bit larger the 2 inch thread but I got it to fit by wrapping it with teflon tape and jamming it in place. I also had to trim the overflow pipe a bit lower. So it was a success for the adaptability of the Fluidmaster valve and you can't beat the price.

Well it worked and so far I haven't had a leak. So far so good. It is exactly what you find at home depot only without the fancy box that it comes in from the store. The rubber and plastic pipe seems to be well made and constructed. I bought it here because I could not actually find this at Home Depot that was not part of a kit. This was all I needed. If you like this simple review please rate it helpful and I'll continue on writing. Thanks!
