I bought these when looking for pair of hot weather trail riding pants.I have not ridden in them yet, but I'm pretty skeptical they are going to survive even a single trail ride. The fabric is paper-thin, and i suspect a single branch snag or rub is going to tear them open.Further, this paper-thin fabric is not going to protect me against any type of forest fall or rock abrasion. The only protection these pants have is two leather pads mounted on the inside of the leg, to keep them (and you) from melting against the hot parts of the bike. They may be suitable for track MX riders, but for the trail, I don't think they will work out. They are also so slim-fit that I am doubtful I'll be able to fit my full shin/knee pads into them, and may have to compromise to a smaller knee pad.I'm really looking for something that is just as tough as my typical riding pants, just with alot more open *venting* for the summer. I have higher hopes for the KLIM XC Lite pants, which have a tougher light fabric that will offer some protection, and that seems to breathe somewhat.
