The transmitter and receiver were pre-bound before delivery. If you are using a different transmitter or receiver, follow the steps below to connect to the receiver's B/VCC port.
1, Connect the included binding cable to the receiver's B/VCC port.
2, Plug the DC 4V-6.5V power supply into other ports, the positive and negative poles cannot be wrongly connected.
3, Keep pressing the "BIND KEY", and then turn on the transmitter to enter the binding mode.
4, The transmitter will display the RX voltage, that means the binding is successful.
5, Remove binding wire, Check the operation of the servos. If something doesn't work as expected, start this process from the beginning.

I am comparing this directly to the 5 channel Turnigy brand kit that I got a few years ago for my 3D printed RC Boat Build. Unfortunately I did a stupid and had wrong voltage to the receiver and melted it after a few minutes of celebratory testing.. Thankfully this kit far exceeds what I ever need, but good to know I have extra channels to do other fun things with including controlling Arduino actions… the Sky’s the limit. (Some kind of pun intended)There is some info provided in the book (not much), but there is more online, and setup is pretty straight forward. Binding instructions are included and fairly clear. You need some knowledge on how these things work, or at least it is helpful to get started. There are a ton of toggles and switches and buttons and dials.. it seems overwhelming at first, but if you get setup and get a servo moving on 1 channel the rest is cake. The first testing in a real scenario will be my boat project. Although I don’t need all the channels, perhaps I can put some lights on it now and control them. This kit supports all sorts of aviation R/C’s.The Transmitter is a beauty. It feels great in the hands. Speaking of, it’s a mode 2 controller which means rudder/throttle is on the left. I didn’t see that you can change that on this controller (The Turnigy Tx’er has a toggle for modes 1,2). Mode 2 is intended more for flight of planes or copters. 1 stick is usually spring loaded, and they both feel great. In fact all dials, toggles, buttons etc. all feel good with affirmative clicking/snapping where required. The dials are smooth as well. The trim buttons have center beeps, but not the dials.I really like the readouts the nice display offers. Live battery voltage as well as other telemetry information can be seen easily. The trim buttons have center beeps, but not the dials. Everything is easy to navigate and program from the menu in the Tx’er. There is no doubt with the quality, and available power that this thing would easily exceed 2km on some fresh batteries. Nothing really feels cheap here. All good quality. There is also a DSC (Direct Servo Control) / Trainer port on the transmitter which could be handy at a large event for example. That said with the superior automatic frequency hopping, it’s not likely needed. Nice attention to details (little things including Power-On Throttle warnings) and a nice lanyard anchor point. I am rather impressed with this kit. Great value with loads of tech for a great price. Solid 5 stars!

My dad built a model boat back in the 80's and ever since he passed away it's been in storage and I always wanted to make it a remote control boat, I had all the electronics to do it minus the receiver and remote control. with a bit of online school and the instructions I was able to get this figured out. I am using it for some very basic functions and there is a ton this remote control can do, but for my purposes I just needed it to power a motor and rutter so I could drive my dads little boat. I'll have to spend some time with all it's functions on a different project perhaps.

I've been flying retail drones for awhile now, but really wanted to create and customize my own, so getting this Flysky FS-i6 available from brand ALAOHU was the right choice as a starting point to getting my ideas into the air.6 channels out of the box, there is plenty of customization opportunities, and even more room for improvement after (if) you decide on certain firmware updates, which can provide you with nearly twice as many. The controller has no issue both sending and receiving signals and because I am still an amateur at this I won't go into the finer details, but from what I understand so far, I would have no issue fine-tuning and handling fixed-wing planes or even water boats as easily as multirotor drones. With a little tooling, you could technically even "Macgyuver" a brand name drone to work with this controller instead it's own, less precision controller, giving you much better response and technique than comes stock with those brands. The body of the controller is made of a very durable plastic, I think it could easily handle drops, but I wouldn't recommend letting that happen of course. Which is why this product comes with accessories like a seat-belt like strap that can attach to the controller, to help with some of the weight of holding it for too long. It's actually quite light though, but I imagine prolonged use might get cumbersome. One of the most interesting things is that, with the right adapter (not included), there is a port on the back of the unit that will allow you to connect this controller to you computer and set it up for training simulators. Which, for me, is a huge bonus as while I am fairly talented at flying normal stock drones, I still am an amateur of course when it comes to building and flying custom ones.I am learning more as I go, and will update my review as needed, but I am very excited by my tests so far, but I can easily and fully recommend the FS-i6 for an amateur like me, or a professional, alike.

I got this controller for my spouse who is into RC flyers and RC cars. This transmitter controller can be used for both.I recommend using this on your average size or smaller models and not your big flyers that are worth over a few thousand dollars. There are a lot more features than I know about for now. I am definitely not using its full potential but then again, I only got it for the electric vehicles we currently own.You do need 4 AA batteries to operate this controller which are not included.Overall, a nice controller, there is a bit of a learning curve to it as it has many features that are often overlooked.Price is great for what you get! RC components are extremely expensive so getting a good controller with a transmitter within $100 dollars is a steal.

Nice controller and very easy to setup as well as switch PPM on/off. My only gripe is that you can only use 2 of the aux switches as it’s only 6 channels. Having buttons like the tx16s would be nice for mode selection as well.

This came in free of charge through the Amazon Vine program. I’ve had no direct contact with Amazon Vine or the manufacturer and these opinions are my own. This is a really great radio for the price. I am underutilizing it's features by using it for an RC monster truck with independent 4 wheel steering, but it does great.

It's hard to get over what a fantastic deal this controller is for your entry and moderate users. It has a lot of channels and adjustments to get the job done. Everything feels good and fluid in our hands. FlySky is an OEM brand for many respected RC companies such as RedCat and others so you know it's a name you can trust for both performance and quality.

Great controller. It has a lot of features a moderate user, to even more professional, would like to have. It comes with the controller and a receiver to put in your plane/helicopter. There are more advanced controllers out their. But if you’re on a budget. This one will do nicely.

I use this controller on an RC airplane project that I'm working on, and this controller is perfect for this. It has a receiver and transmitter included in the package, but you will need 4 AA batteries. This is definitely a controller for more experienced hobbyists, but I think I have gotten the hang of it in the few weeks I have had it. The screen is nice, and easy to read, and I'm very happy with it.

We got this for our first attempt at RC planes from scratch and I have to say these controls worked great right out of the box. We quickly had the servos and thrust controls working and they seemed to work well on the ground. I do wish there were somewhat better instructions in the box for where to place each in the receiver, but we were able to find that information on the web easily enough. The box does feel a little plasticky, but is great for the price and great as an intro controller while getting the hang of flying. All in all we were very happy with it.
