Nice item. The grandkids are enjoying it, but you do need to buy a ton of balls to fill it.

When my first grandson was born my daughter had an inflatable kiddie pool and wanted balls to fill it. So being the doting grandfather I ordered a lot of balls (and a tennis ball retriever to make collecting the spilled balls easier.)It was a great hit with him and he used it extensively up through about 2-1/2 when his parents kind of retired it. The pool part got thrown out. I think they got tired of retrieving the balls because he was at the stage he would throw them out in spite. However it was a great hit for birthday parties, other kids visiting, etc.So when grandson #2 came along my daughter indicated she wanted this so of course I got this for her. It is soft and seems to hold up well. It is smaller than the inflatable pool and not as deep so for inside the house it is fine, but definitely less than ideal for an energetic 3 yr old.The main problem I have with this setup is the padded base. It is padded and works fine, but when your child pulls it out or puts half the balls under it the only way to fix it is to remove ALL the balls and refill the pool. Not a major problem and I will look at adding some velcro to the bottom foam pad and base of the pool the make it more difficult. It would probably be better if that foam pad went under unit rather than inside.

The ball pit itself is SUPER SOFT which is a plus. My son easily got in and out of it but it wasn’t something I could use. The bottom part kept coming off and all the balls would go underneath. It fits a good amount of kids (2-3 at a time) but it is not something I would keep. The soft sides are nit really an issue and something I could get over. But the fact that the bottom kept coming off and the balls fell under made me not like it and return it. I will be looking for a different one that is a bit easier to keep together.Also, the size: this one had 500 balls and it still didn’t even go half way so honestly a really good size.
