It seems like a nice staff, but I'm only a beginner. What I like most about it is that it is marked with an emblem in the center that is about the width of my hand, and this helps to keep my hand centered on the staff. I hope that the centering emblem doesn't wear off, but we'll see.

Second one I've bought for my kid. Stands up to hard use and stress. First one lasted a year then broke after very hard contact, jagged edge for internal pipe. Be careful if used for hard sparring. Second one holding up really well. Doesn't seem to tear. Sometimes have to slide rubber up or down a little. Hard hits hurt even though padded. Not wood, so don't expect it to stand up like wood. Overall: Really decent product, worth the money.

Fantastic. My boys needed these as they went up a belt color and are required to have them for TKD. They are super durable against blunt force (don’t scratch them) as they are intended to be. Very lightweight, their instructor said the size was perfect for them.

My 13 year old got this for himself. He is learning the bo staff in his small martial arts class and wanted something for home practice. It is pretty light weight it has lasted so far through quite a few play sessions, so we will see. It mostly just comes in contact with air, and his legs by accident, which is why we got a foam covered one. I don't know if I would recommend it for actual contact practice. It is soft, but I don't think it would be strong enough for that application. It is perfect for my kid and I predict it will last a couple of years the way he is using it. It came fast, and the price is ok.

Here's where this bow staff is perfect. You're a 40-year-old grown male who is just learning bow staff for the first time. You have your five and 6 foot rattan and waxwood staff that you practice with outside. You want something smaller and foamier for the inside of the house that you could swing around and practice with when your wife's not looking, and that won't hurt the cat when bumped into, and won't break the lamp when it accidentally graces it. That's what this staff is perfect for. It may or may not be perfect for little kids to whack each other over the heads with, because it will most likely break. But it is perfect for indoor small house or apartment zombie slaying.

Recipient of this gift said it is perfect for what it is made for.....to practice...to play....yes it will hurt if swung hard enough....but soft enough so that it doesn't do much damage if any. Seems very sturdy and should hold up for quite some time.
