Sometimes it takes an item like this to give me the incentive I need to start training again. I'm not a serious athlete, and I'm done with gym memberships, but I like to keep things firm, if you know what I mean. As I've gotten older, I find that my joints tend to hurt before my muscles get a good workout, so having this push-up board has at least allowed me to save my wrists. This is perfect for my home gym, aka my spare bedroom. There are so many different hand positions depending on whether you're working your back, shoulders, or arms. But if you're like me, you find one or two that work and stick with them. That's part of the appeal — it's like having several different workout machines in one. Sort of.It’s a little tricky figuring out how to close it properly without the handles getting in the way, but you get the hang of it quickly. I leave my board open most of the time, so that's not really an issue for me. I find that when it’s open and visible as I walk into the room, I’m more inclined to drop and give myself ten. Then all of a sudden, I'm in the mood to try ten more. Funny how one step leads to another. For the record, I weigh approximately 180 pounds and am upper-body heavy, and this platform has no apparent issues with that much weight and movement. I’m confident it's sturdy and will last through years of use.

OK, so this piece of exercise gear is not terrible, but it is flimsy. It is all plastic, which means it is not heavy, which is good to an extent. The handles lock in fairly securely to the square holes with pegs in them. But when I do a pushup, I can feel the handles flex at their mount point, as if they might pop out of there. The way around this is to never put side pressure on the handles, but that is a little hard to do if you put them at that setting way out for a wide-arm pushup. You’d think that position wouldn’t be there unless it was going to be OK. I just wouldn’t trust it.Now, the positions do work the muscles they claim, which is kind of intuitive. It also makes sense that if you are using a device that allows you to go deeper into the pushup than with your hands flat on the floor, you will get a bigger push, and that is correct. It does, which actually feels nice. But look at those instructions. It shows the muscles that the yellow positions will work. Do you see any yellow on that board? I don’t either. It threw me for a couple of seconds until I realized they mean orange. There is also the chance of confusion by trying to put the handles in the orange holes that are across from each other horizontally. I tried it, and that’s a no-go.Overall, it’s not bad, especially if you don’t weigh much. I am 6’ 1” and 200 lbs. This feels like I might be walking a fine line between health and a broken nose if I am not careful. Three stars.

The picture I added shows the complete board, something the product page fails to do. Also pictured are how the handles fit in the board, and the whole thing folded up with the silicone clasp. If you are just getting into pushups or exercising in general, and you think that this will help motivate you into doing pushups, it will not. My advice: save your money and watch some online videos, your body is the only equipment you need to start. Don't worry about these color categories. Build the habit first, before you spend any money. You can't buy a healthier body. However, this board is good for two things: The grips really help you maintain posture and they take pressure off of your wrists. These two reasons, and the price, are the only ones really worth considering when deciding whether to buy this. The designations of shoulders, back, chest, and triceps are very questionable; you should take them with a grain of salt and rely on professional instructors instead. Don't just trust words on a plastic board.I cannot justify paying $50 for this. Learning pushup techniques is free, and more reliable online. Again, you should only be considering this if you already built a habit of doing pushups, you consistently have trouble maintaining posture and can't correct it on your own, and/or if you feel too much pressure on your wrists. Even then, is this worth $50? You be the judge.Knocked off a star for the price and the questionable color categories.I got this for free through Amazon Vine.

This push up board makes your workout plan super simple. The board is color coded and each color represents a different area of muscles to work on. I love that it folds right up to save space, or be able to pack in your bag to go. The price and convenience make it affordable for all. It’s made of a hard plastic which is easy to wipe off and sanitize after use.

Works as intended, however the stability is questionable.

Foldable Push Up Board is a terrific at home exerciser. The push-up board comes folded with two hand grips and opens up to display 3 different color-coded exercise workouts. The color green represents exercises for Triceps, yellow color is to exercise Back Muscles, Blue color is to exercise Chest Muscles, and red color is to exercise Shoulders. On each side of board, hand grips are placed in color corresponding to color-coded exercise. As a novice, this is an easy exercise system to strengthen my upper body and to start out slowly. However, this board can be used by all experience levels to warm-up or on a trip continue their exercise routine. When using board, it should be placed on an exercise mat to prevent any movement even though underneath the board there are non-slip pads. The board can be folded and stored under the bed, in storage cabinet, closet, packed into a suitcase and taken anywhere. After exercise sessions, wipe the board down with a wet sponge or rag and dry with cloth. Highly recommend Foldable Push-up Board based on quality, functionality, and value of monies paid.
