Bought these for hunting. The older I get, the less I like sitting or kneeling on the cold, wet ground. I carry this in my pack and always have a place to sit between hikes. It's the perfect height to sit low, for concealment yet get up quickly if I need to move. Now, a permanent part of my hunting gear.

This has quickly become my favorite stool to take with me when I'm going to a park or event because it's so light and small, it's really easy to take around with me and gives me a great spot to sit without having to be on the ground or search for an open bench. It can support my weight perfectly (I'm 200lbs) so I'd imagine its advertised weight capacity of 400lbs is accurate, though I haven't tried having that much weight on it. If it's holding 400lbs though, I'd imagine someone that size might not find this stool particularly comfortable, since it's barely big enough to fit my size. But I guess if you're using it as a stepstool or something and you're holding something heavy, you'll not need to worry about how much you're holding.

These meet the need. They are quite low as others mentioned but work well for a for stool or a lightweight smaller option for hiking or near a fire or at an event you walk a ways too and only sit for awhile. The bags are flimsy and rather big but the frames lend themselves easily towards being strapped with bungies or cords, even a yoga mat strap works. Glad I picked them up. They didn't weigh much in my suitcase and worked well for watching public shows on vacation.
