I didn’t want to invest too much into my new hobby of acrylic painting, but I wanted to include this in my little “studio”. It’s absolutely perfect for rinsing brushes. It cleans them well. Great value. Holds a good amount of water. The bottom has a lined/textured pattern and it’s super helpful getting brushes clean! I just love this thing. I can’t paint without it now!

It has a deep basin and the ridges on the bottom are great for cleaning the brush to make sure all the paint is out. Can use many brushes of varying sizes and store right there. Super easy to clean. This is all inclusive for painting. Very durable.

I ADORE this brush basin. I've used everything from a regular jar, to a paint puck glass basin, to this.Things I love about this basin:The green color is marvelous!! I'm a huge fan of teal/mint, and this is a bit more muted dark mint sort of green. It's muted enough to not get in the way or influence your painting too much, but colorful enough to provide delight. I'm the type of person who enjoys having pretty-colored things. A million years ago I bought a very similar basin style in grey. Didn't like it nearly as much due to the ugliness factor. Green is a must-have.I love the height of the basin. It is lower than most jars and even the glass paint puck basin (probably getting the name wrong on that). This makes dipping and cleaning the brush MUCH less tedious and laborious (especially important in my medium, watercolor!).I love that the larger part of the basin has a bunch of thin ridges to really de-gunk your brush and then the smaller (more "freshwater") part of the basin has bigger ridges for an extra once-through of the brush.I like this basin so much that I bought two so I can have a fresh basin on hand and don't have to get up as often to rinse and refill. The one thing that can be challenging with this basin is that in the larger part of it with the thin ridges, pigment can easily start to accumulate down in there, making it very difficult to fully clean if you don't stay on top of it. For watercolor, this isn't as bad, but for acrylic, you might need to either very religiously and frequently clean it or simply live with a growing colony of pigment coral in the bottom of your basin. Despite that, I've noticed that accumulation of pigment in the bottom does not seem to affect the clarity of the water if you've swished it around to clean and then refilled it. So not a huge deal unless seeing that sort of thing irks you.Overall, I think this is the most ideal basin one could find! My one wish is that it was slightly larger while keeping the same low height. Again, my water gets muddy fairly fast, so a larger size would be amazing.5+++ stars!
