Somehow, one of our favorite puppet friends magically disappeared from us, and in our someplace nice home we longed every day for his return. Weee! What joy! Our shy little turtle has returned back to the fold unscathed and in perfect condition.

This is the wrong product! I ordered the Folkmanis Turtle Hand Puppet and received the baby turtle puppet instead. At first I though maybe I accidentally ordered the wrong one but when I looked at my orders that wasn’t the case. I love all of the Folkmanis turtle puppets but if I wanted the baby turtle puppet, I would have paid the $16.19 instead and gotten it. I have each of the puppets including the mini and I love all of them for use as Tucker the Turtle in my classrooms but I would really like to be able to get the large puppet if that is what is described. If you have bought this from this seller recently, I would check the demensions and see if yours is actually 13”x11”x5”.

The infants in my preschool room absolutely adore him. I purchased it originally to be used in the toddler room to teach them the Tucker the Turtle behavioral technique to deal with anger issues, but I use it primarily with the infants. They love how soft and cuddly he is and how his head pops in and out of his shell. They actually wait in great anticipation for him to pop out! This puppet is very easy to manipulate. I plan on purchasing puppets periodically to build up our puppet supply. Can you recommend another particular puppet that manipulates as well as Tucker?

The turtles are cute. You should get the mama and the baby turtle. That said, they're not the best puppets Folkmanis makes (which still makes them better than almost any other mass-market puppets). The mouths don't have a lot of "action," and I found it hard to get a lot of personality out of them. If they were straight-up stuffed (but still can fit in the shell--a gotta-have for a plush turtle, amirite), I think they' be more successful.

Folkmanis puppets' quality is unmatched. Been purchasing them for over 20 years.Usually couple their puppet with a hardcover book of same subject.In a time crunch, purchased one turtle puppet locally at full retail price.Amazon's price was third less....substantial savings with a very timely delivery.
