These are made well and have a fair amount of stretch to them. Padding is firm and stays in place wel. They do run large, my son is an XL and we went a size down thinking it would fit tighter but they are actually a bit large and loose. Stitching is strong, and does not come loose with constant stretching. Waistband is firm and bounces back without loosing elasticity with multiple wash and wears.

Don't buy it. The padding disassembles and breaks up into pieces with a first wash. Completely unusable after that. My kid's coach had to give him a borrowed one when he went to put it on before their scrimmage. Of course this happened one day after the return deadline, so I don't even get any money back. Super frustrating.Have ordered other brands before and NEVER had this problem.

My 16yr old is my ball player. He is also a bigger boy. He got this bc his pants are the ones that come without pads. This girdle works in place if them. Fits great. Easy to clean. Great material and padding. Holds up during games. Great price!!! Hasn't torn at all.

Actually, I'll make an exception to that. They listed many activities that these would be useful for, but I will say that cycling is not one of them. They are designed more for impact than extra cushioning and sitting on the tailbone padding for a couple of hours on a bike saddle did not have the desired results. But to their credit, they never mentioned cycling, as for the other activities I can only assume that could help if the pad is in the right place. Comfortable to wear otherwise.

These are an excellently made pair of shorts. The stretch type fabric is quality, and the hems, seams, and stitching are all done perfectly on my pair. They have a very heavy duty waist band that has plenty of stretch, and the padding is very dense, and should absorb an impact well. I have to end my review there though, as I inadvertently ordered the incorrect size when I chose the size. Not sure how I did that, just miss-clicked I guess, and never noticed. These were ordered on the Vine program, so I can't return them through Amazon for a refund and then order the correct size, as there is no refund since they were free to me. I also found no way listed anywhere to contact the seller directly to get a correct size. So, since the size was listed clearly on the shorts, and I knew they were going to be too big just by holding them up against me, I never even tried them on, and they are still tagged and in the bag they came in. SO... I am giving these 4 Stars because of the quality of the materials and workmanship that I can plainly see, but unfortunately I have no input on the sizing, comfort, or effectiveness. I would have most likely given these a 5 Star review, but as there is no way to contact the seller in the listing, I had to deduct one star.

I ordered these padded compression shorts for trail riding my dirt bike. They are comfortable and fit well. Everyone’s body shape, activity needs and comfort preferences will respectfully differ. I’ve had other padded shorts, and the tail pad here is thin enough to be comfortable on a firm seat, yet improve the ride. I don’t think it would be as comfortable on softer seats such as street bikes or a modern atv, where you might begin to sit to one side awkwardly, but this works for my off road equipment. However, I do wish the upper side pads were more located over my hips; they fit me more where my front jeans pockets would be. Let’s face it, I don’t fall as good as I used to lol. Good shorts.

I bought this pair of shorts because it has hip protection, and I do wish that it had a few pads in the front of the legs though.I play roller hockey and have had a few shots to the front of my thigh no padding means.. OUCH!!!But I have taken a few falls and the hip padding seems to work very well.This shorts stay up very very well and they are very comfortable!Good quality!!
