The splash shield is too long and needs to be cut. If you try to put in on the way it is, the shield would hit the transom and the transducer (rear) would be pointed up in the air.

When I got this boat the spray was horrible. The transducer was set too low in the water and at high speeds it didn't work. Set it at the prescribed 1/8 of an inch depth which fixed the high speed problem but it still sprayed almost as bad. Installed the shield and virtually no spray! If you had a transom with virtually no angle it might interfere as someone posted but that would be extremely rare.
