This ESTINKO Post Operative Forefoot Offloading Shoe Wedge is a great concept. I have had several foot surgeries and something like this was never offered. This is much easier to put on and wear than a post surgical boot.The way this sole is designed the front 1/3 of the sole does not touch the ground. The back 2/3rds of the sole touches the ground and this design forces your weight to be distributed on the area that touches the ground. Since the front of your foot doesn’t have a sole that touches the ground there is no weight pressure to the toes. It did make sense when I ordered it but until I actually tried them on I felt the difference.I have never seen a peg assisted insole before. I am impressed! There are close to 200 individual pegs that are removable. They are easy to remove and easy to place back. Depending on where you need to relieve pressure, all you have to do is remove the pegs.I will be having another foot surgery in 2 months and my Dr wants me in a special walking boot for 2 weeks and walking shoe for 2 additional weeks. Having gone through foot surgery on 3 different occasions I know the difficulty of having to put on a post operative boot or shoe. I got this shoe for those times when I am in the house and only have short distances to go, such as getting a drink from the kitchen or going to the bathroom.The shoe consists of 3 velcro straps, 2 on the top of the foot and one at the ankle. The shoe completely opens up and has a wide foot bed to accommodate those have wrappings and bandages post surgery. You step into the shoe and then secure the straps with velcro. The ankle strap is super long and is easy to cut down to size.I wear size 7 1/2 to 8 in woman’s sneakers and the size small is perfect!

I got this on a whim for my upcoming bunion surgery. Looking at it and trying it on, I am so excited to have it. It's much nicer and more practical than the boot my surgeon typically gives his patients. It completely takes all the pressure off the bunion surgery area. And the adjustable pegs are such a great bonus- if I have a small area where there's an incision that needs less pressure, I can just take out a peg. And the price is much less than a surgery center will charge you. My sister-in-law, who recently had her own bunion surgery, was jealous when she saw it because it's so much more functional and practical than the boot she wore. What an outstanding product!

Nice and lightweight, lighter than the one they gave me at the hospital and love the additional thick pad that comes with it. Good price for both the boot and the pad and the large fits my women's 10.5 foot really well.

This wedge ortho shoe boot isn't the most comfortable to wear. I recently had a really bad gout attack and had to get something to help keep weight off the top of my foot which this wedge boot helped with. However, the material is pretty stiff and it proved to be uncomfortable to use after a few minutes, as I started to experience some discomfort in my knee. This might work better for post toe surgery or other things but it didn't fit my needs.
