This peavey had 2 bolts to assemble and both used wing bolts so no tools needed. I tried this out on a few logs around the property and it helped to roll them over. I was not anywhere close to the listed maximum diameter but it felt fairly sturdy and the limitation would be my physical strength.

FORESTER Heavy Duty Log Peavey 55" - Cant Hook for Logs. The only issue I have is that the fiber glass shaft only goes into the tube of the cant hook for 2 1/2". It seems to me it could have went in for 8 or more inches. Additionally the shaft is held onto the cant hook with a single small bolt that goes into a very small detent on the fiber glass shaft. I would have liked to have seen the shaft go into the cant hook a full 8 inches and that at some point of the shaft there was a through bolt to prevent it accidentally coming out.Thank you for reading my review and looking at my photos of this product. I hope you found it helpful!REVIEW PHILOSOPHY: I only review a product if it is something I am capable of critically evaluating through comparison, testing and use. This means I have experience of using similar items; or that I have equipment or tools that I can test it with; or that I have an upcoming need so I can actually use. I am as selective about getting an item to review as I would be about purchasing that same item, so yes, I expect it to be a good product. My reviews are NOT based on packaging or if it was delivered timely.

If you're looking for a peavey with the stand to hold the log in the air, this is not it. But it's a beefy peavey for rolling those logs around in the yard or in the woods, allowing for cuts on both sides and out of the dirt.Assembly involves two wing nuts that I put loctite on. Fiberglas handle.

Unfortunately, my peavey arrived damaged and missing a bolt. Except for the bolt, the damage was just cosmetic, so I figured I could live with it.The bolt that was missing was a little unusual because it had a wingnut attached where the bolthead would normally be. Since I couldn't easily pick that up at a hardware store, I decided to contact customer service to see if they could send me a bolt. The response I got from Forester was disappointing. Essentially, I was told, "We are just an online retailer, we don't make this product or carry any parts, here is the number to the manufacturer maybe they will help you."Ultimately, I ended up finding a hex bolt at the hardware store. For anyone in a similar situation, an M8 1.25 pitch 16 thread bolt seems to be a suitable replacement for the missing bolt. The quality of the peavey itself seems good but not great. The fiberglass handle seems reasonably sturdy but doesn't slide very far into the shaft of the cant hook. I could see this as being a point of weakness over time, but at least initially it seems all right.3.5 Stars for the Peavey, 1 Star for customer service.

Nice peavy. It goes together easily. It is rather lite, but still rugged enough to do the job. It is worth the money in my opinion.
