These kept me warm during below zero winter weather recently. But they were not too thick and bulky. My clothes fit over them with no problem. I bought three pair and was happy. They wash well. Do not shrink.

it's not too thick to become hot to wear, just right really for a cool house. She loves the feel and fit and weight of it. Nothing at all about it that she dislikes!
