Used this to top a 2x4 workbench, and it is exactly what I wanted. Doesn't allow glue or other adhesives to stick, and it allows material to slide easily over the top. Super easy to apply with some contact cement, also.

I have bought sheet laminate before of this style and color from one of the big box stores. It was a major competitor brand. It had a nicer matte texture and was not as shiny. In addition, it was scratched on one trailing edge. Fortunately, the difference will not be that obvious as this is a standalone piece.

I bought this to cover the top of a beaten-up desk, that was damaged beyond recovery. The pattern is beautiful and the material arrived in excellent shape. This was my first experience with Formica and cutting the material was harder than I thought - Aviator snips caused chipping, the dremel cutting wheels broke at an alarming rate. I ended up improvising a router with a rotozip, two clamps, and a long piece of trim. This resolved the issue. No problem gluing the material to the table top with contact adhesive (I used the spray type). I finished the edges of the Formica with a hand-held sander and decided to use wood veneer for the desk top edges since the rest of the desk was still in good shape and I could match the stain. I am very pleased with the results, I am looking for some projects to use the rest of the sheet.

Product itself is great for intended use BUT if it comes dented and damaged and therefore unusable the company will not stand behind it and make it right. I’m stuck with a 4x8 sheet that’s unusable.

Ive been a cabinet maker for 36 yrs, so ive fair amt of experience with these products. In the plastic laminate world there are typically 3 thicknesses to be aware of. Postforming..very thin to be heated and wrap a curve..vertical grade..little thicker used mainly for non horizontal surfaces and standard grade...made for horizontal surfaces...its about 1/16th thick. This description doesnt say what your getting so just a heads up..its standard grade..the thickest one. Not an issue at all...just a heads up. I received my sheet way faster than the date given..like 5 days quicker...in excellent condition and cheaper than my usual nearby supplier. Will definitely be ordering again from these guys. Thank you very much

I've been fabricating laminate countertops professionally on and off for 15 years. This particular laminate has one of the best designs on it. Most of the older prints have obvious repeating patterns, but this one looks more natural. I have exclusively used Formica band laminates and if I have only one complaint, it's that with some of these darker prints there is a thin layer of white within the layers which makes it more difficult to file the edges without that white layer becoming an eyesore. No this is not a thin vertical grade laminate as others have suggested. You can tell initially by the part number. It shows the color code, the grade, and the texture code.

My computer desk was showing major signs of wear—scratches, scuffs, and a big spot where using a mouse had removed and dulled the finish. I was going to refinish the wood, but figured the same thing would happen in a year's time. So, I went to Lowes to see about getting a laminate to cover the damage. They didn't have anything in stock, but I found samples I liked and would order it online. When I went to their website, the laminate I wanted was out of stock. After waiting a couple months, it was evident that Lowes would never restock the material. I never thought I'd find laminate on Amazon, but I typed in a few key words and found many styles and patterns of Formica. I was struggling between two colors, and eventually ordered the Prestige Walnut. I was a little hesitant, but was surprised when my order arrived in perfect shape a few days early. The Formica was a gorgeous color, matching my desk perfectly. All I needed was a couple days and a can of contact cement, and my desk looks like new—actually, better than new. Thanks Amazon. I'll be checking here first before looking elsewhere for almost anything.
