No complaints on how they work. Just what they cost. My local welding supply store has e7014 for about a third of the cost. I wish I would have know that before I ordered.

I didn't use these for welding, instead I knocked the outer coating off and used it as metal dowels to hold 1 inch screen in it's place between a piece of wood that jad routered out. It has been installed for about 5 months, and is working great! The screen hasn't come out of place once since I have installed these and they haven't rusted (yet; I also didn't put any kind of protective coat on the "dowels" to prwvent them from rusting).

Great Rods they work really well far better then the Hobart 7014 I have or anny of the 7018 Rods I have. The good thing with these is that they make bPretty looking and Strong Welds that are Excellent for the beginner to gain Confidence when learning. Manny people get discouraged starting out and quit or stop praticeing. Once they make a few decent welds with these usualy they get Encouraged and become good if not excellent welders! the main advantage with these rods is you don't have to worry about the moisture with these like you do with the 7018 rods.

Forney makes decent rods for stick welding, the only type I do. If I'm making a heavy repair 7018's are still the goto rod, but for general repair work I have found the 7014 is easier to strike, much easier to flow and has decent penetration. With lighter weight metals I can turn down the amps and not risk a burn through. I've tried different brands, and while there are a few I stay away from, Forney is good enough quality at an affordable price.

They strike very easily, nice bead profile and not too picky on cleaning/prep. 3/32 runs well on old buzzbox at 80 amps AC

I am terrible at stick welding and starting an arc, but these were very easy to start for me.

The welding rods shipped out and arrived on time.Shipping package shows no damage at all.But the plastic box containing the welding rods is busted open.Seems like it was probably like that before it was packaged and shipped. The Forney 7014 Roda are good rods that work great.I have used them many times without problems as well as the 6013 rods.

The 3/32 rods seem to run well on a 120V welder. They start easily, they run smooth, and they leave a nice looking bead.
