Definitely read the description for this, I missed the part where it said it does not fit the full frame cameras. Tried it on my 6D and the Pentax lens doesn’t allow the mirror to open fully. Completely on me for not reading it fully. 5 stars for the fit and finish though. Worked great on a Rebel camera I had. Really nice adapter.

Main things to know:1. Does not work with full-frame EOS dSLR bodies right out of the box. You need to mod it. Otherwise the aperture tab on the back of the Pentax lens interferes with the movement of the mirror in the reflex assembly and you get Error 20.2. Removing the adapter ring from your Pentax lens is not intuitive. There's a little clip on the inside of the adapter that needs to be moved out of the way with a small screwdriver or something similar. It is held in by two screws. I removed the screws and the clip and tossed them. Useless.3. Even with above clip removed, it is bloody difficult to get a Pentax lens off of this adapter. I completely understand why some people buy one adapter per lens. I'm not doing that because I'm cheap. The adapter it self comes off of the EOS body with a bit of a fight. You can find the instructions for hacking the adapter to work on a full-frame Canon in this Youtube video by Steven Perkins of Frugal Photography:"Pentax K mount to EOS Full Frame nondestructive no mods to lens or camera"You'll need:1. Small screwdriver for removing clip.2. Small metal file to remove tooth from inside of adapter.3. Packing tape for top of adapter (watch the video for why).4. Razor blade or sharp knife to trim away excess tape.Don't purchase this for a full-frame Canon EOS body unless you are willing to modify it, and then tolerate shooting with your manual lens mounted upside-down on your camera. I now have it working with a 5D Classic, 5D Mk iii, and 5Ds. It works correctly with full-frame Canon R bodies, but I had purchased this for using my vintage lenses with the Mk iii.I am able to achieve infinity focus on all of the lenses I have tried so far.Hope this is helpful.

I got this to use with my Canon Rebel T1i. I had an old Pentax ME and it has some great lenses. It isn't so hard to put the adapter on, but to get it off is a little challenging. So in a way it makes it not so fun or easy to change back and fourth. But if you want to go shoot just with the vintage lenses for the day then it is worth it. You can not use auto focus with it and it does not have stabilization, but it is still fun. There is a softness to the images. I did video walking with it and it does this wourping. I think if you had it on a tripod and just shot with it still it might be fine. Put this is more for experimenting. Definitely worth the price and to try it. I might look into, and pay more, for easier mountable adapter's. But I wouldn't pay too much.

ALL PK to EOS ring adapters need a little trick modification to have ABSOLUTELY NO PLAY when mounted to the K-Mount lens. This modifications requires some cutting of the little inside "tongue" of the adapter and the use of only one of the 2 screws (which you may have to do several times if you want to achieve THE perfect result.Hence, there's no need for paying a top adapter manufacturer for that, since you'll be doing all the "dangerous" job anyways, and you might destroy one or 2 such adapters if you do it first time, so I advise you to buy multiple chinese-made similar ring adapters, which are made equally in quality, and you can find them at a very tiny fraction of the money you'll pay for the "big brand" (about 1/3 of the price!!!)So you better go for good quality Chinese ones, the ones I've bought and use on EACH of my Pentax K Series lenses are the "Morningmo PK-EOS Lens Adapter Ring", for 7.95 each plus 0.99 shipping from China, and shipping was the same for ALL 6 I've bought! So you're gonna wait a little bit more to come, but trust me, it's gonna worth it in the end!

Sturdy. Does what it needs to do. I had to look up a tutorial on how to put it on because there were no instructions but pretty intuitive anyway. Just wasn’t fully secure

This adapter is just as solid as you might think. If I had any complaint, it's that it's a bit too snug on my camera, but I can live with that. No chance it's going to wobble. The only play I've found seems to come from the adapter and lens not being perfectly latched due to the slight tolerance variance of the adapter. Not really a problem, though.Very easy to use. Just line up the red dot on the lens with the red dot on the "inside" of the adapter (the side that faces the lens). Rotate the lens clockwise until you hear a subtle click. Watch for a small metal tab on the adapter as it drops into place to latch the adapter to the lens. (You'll need to know where that tab is later if you want to remove the adapter from the lens.) Next, line up the red dot on the camera side of the adapter with the red dot on the camera. That's it.To remove it, I have to grip the lens and gently turn it as I push in the button on the camera. There's very little adapter to grip, so that's the only real option I have. Works fine as long as you're gentle with it.To remove the adapter from the lens, find the small metal tab that clicks into place on the lens when you installed it. Push that tab away from the center of the lens and gently rotate the adapter.

I bought this so I could put a Pentax 100mm f/4 Macro onto my Canon 5D Mk II. I did not have any trouble mounting it to my camera and my copy at least is not loose, as some reviewers have noted. However, I was not aware that adapting Pentax K-mount lenses to full-frame EOS bodies apparently doesn't work perfectly. The mirror cannot flip up and out of the way fully with a K-mount lens on the camera; it hangs up and obstructs the photo (or live view).Since the lens I was using is a macro lens, and I don't really need infinity focus, I was able to get around this problem by putting the smallest cheap-o extension tube I could find between the adapted lens and the body. This gives me a functioning mirror assembly, and slightly closer focus at the expense of a little bit of light (less than I stop from what I can tell). I'm lucky to have had cheap-o extension tubes laying around. The markings on the lens are no longer on top, but actually they weren't anyway even without the tubes. So the mirror catching problem isn't a total deal breaker for me personally, but I certainly wish I had known about the issue before I decided to go this route for a cheap but sharp macro lens.Apparently this is not a problem for crop-frame bodies, so if you're adapting Pentax K-mount lenses to a Rebel or 70D or something, you're in business. However if you were hoping to shoot at infinity focus for any reason with a Pentax lens on a full-frame body, I'm afraid you're out of luck. I've been very happy with my other Fotodiox adapters (attaching OM lenses to my EOS cameras is awesome!), I'm disappointed that this mirror issue wasn't made clear in the product description.Note, if you are absolutely bent on getting infinity focus out of a Pentax lens on a full-frame body, you *can* flip your mirror up with live view on the camera BEFORE mounting the lens and it will work. However you're forced to take the lens back off to flip your mirror back down and use your viewfinder. I'm avoiding that route since I don't like leaving my camera in live view for more than a couple of minutes at a time when I can avoid it.

Perfect lens mount adapter. It worked just as it was advertised. This has turned out to be one of the best things I've bought for my camera. I love the lens it allows me to use on my Canon. It works great. I haven't had any hiccups. I dropped my camera at one point (after some freak wind knocked my tripod over) and everything turned out to be fine! The mount survived the fall! After the fall the mount became a little loose, so I tightened the screw with a tiny screw driver, and it was good as new.If you need a mount adapter of this variety, I highly recommend you buy this one. It has worked great for me.

This product is perfect for my intended use. I have a collection of Pentax K mount lens, but my istD stopped working and I switched to Canon (600D). I ordered this adapter as away of not having to change over to Canon mount lens since the lens I have are still in great shape. The adapter mounted quickly and easily to my lens and since my lens were mostly manual focus, focusing was not an issue, likewise with the aperture ring. I took a few test shots just to check the fit and found no degradation in photo quality. I have not checked my K mount electronic lens yet, so no feedback on this aspect of the adapter.

I used this to adapt a Pentax M lens to my EOS 600D and so far it seems to work quite well - it seems to couple to both the lens and the camera very securely.Initially I had some trouble attaching it to the lens because it wasn't immediately obvious to me how to line up the bayonet fitting - I couldn't see a point of reference other than the red dot used for mounting on the camera.
