Purchased this brewery with the recirculating kit. When I got home I realized there was no perforated disc in the package. I contacted the local brew shop where I made the purchase. They looked around thinking it may have been misplaced, but didn’t find it. So, I contacted Blichmann’s customer service. I replied to very quickly. They verified the problem and asked to see my receipt of purchase. Not a full minute later I get an email back saying they would gladly send me the missing piece. Fantastic customer service!!I have already brewed up a 5 gallon batch of Oktoberfest with a large grain bill. This was the easiest brew day I’ve ever had. I’m excited for the next batch. The only down side I found was the immersion chiller may be a tad undersized. It took longer than expected to get my wort down to a pitching temp. But, nothing unacceptable.I am sold on Blichmann now.

I ordered the product with the pump. The pump was not with order so I messaged the seller and got no response. Great product not so sure about the seller.

Product did not come as advertised. I was expecting a mash bucket ledge but instead received a mash bucket with two hooks. Every video I’ve watched has a ring ledge that the mash bucket sits on for draining and sparging. I am unsure how this new method will work with a full mash. Will it be more difficult to raise out of the wort and hook onto the side? Will it put the entire kettle off balance and tip over since it’s now hanging off one side? Will the hooks hold up under all the weight? I don’t like surprises like this and I don’t like getting sent a prototype that is different from the pictures. I’ll re-evaluate after using, but my initial impression is not good.

I recently retired and was looking for my next brewing challenge having brewed using extracts and BIAB steeping grains. After reading a ton of articles I decided on the Anvil 10.5 as a good bridge from the extract world to all grain. I'm not disappointed. This thing makes great wort which in turn allows the yeast to make great beer. I'm working hard on my efficiency numbers - they are getting better. Oh, and one of the big deciding factors was the ability to use 110V or 220V with the flip of a switch. So far I'm happy.

first I want to say I wish they were paying me for this review. I use to homebrew years ago. I gave up because it was a pain in the ass keeping temps. A pot for this and a Kettle for that and all the mess it made. It just wasn't worth it. I came across this video on Youtube form Bitter Reality brewing compairing the anvil foundry to the Grainfather a $1000 brewing system. Knowing how much better homebrew is then anything you can get from the store Ii bought A foundry. I can not emphasize how amazing and easy this made homebrewing. Just get it. Everyone starts with a starter kit then a small pot. then they buy a bigger one, then a bigger one. Buy the time you spend all that money on pots you could have bought a foundry. Trust me. i have over $500 In pots and Accessories. If you like good beer just get it. You'll be amazed.

I am overall, impressed. I have used it one time and it works as expected. It is, however, difficult to clean - I would rather see something a little shorter for cleaning purposes. Also, the height makes it difficult to be able to use in a typical kitchen as it is much taller than upper cabinets, so you have to have a dedicated spot. I typically brew once a week, so we will see how it works for the long haul.
