Installed this low pressure switch on my 2005 GMC Sierra 2500HD -- very easy job, a few minutes with a wrench. The A/C on this truck would occasionally not turn on, and other times would work perfectly. I had checked the A/C charge with proper gauges, and it was reading in the appropriate ranges. After replacing this switch, the A/C now turns on every time, no problem. Cheap and easy fix.

Fit exactly like original, so far working as expected. Make sure Schrader valve is not leaking when removed and replaced. Can not replace Schrader valve without system evaluation.

Works great but I was the one of the unlucky ones that did not get it with a new O-Ring. I just reused the old one and did a bubble soap check. Stinks that 10 cent o-ring stopped me from giving this 5 stars. Hopefully the manufacturer listens…

this is low pressure cycling switch that installs on side of accumulator/dryer receiver. My vehicle is 2005 suburban LT dual air but these switches were used on may similiar vehicles. My old switch was leaking and I saw oil stains underneath and also on side of accumulator. My biggest concern was loss of refrigerant oil from leaking switch. The switch just unscrews from accumulator and comes with new oring, remove old o ring and use new one, screw on new switch and plug wire back on and your done. 5 min repair. There is a schrader valve underneath switch so you dont lose refrigerant when unscrewed, just try to unscrew quickly to not lose any gas. I also added an oil charge (ac pro around 6 bucks) that contained 1 oz pag 46 oil, 1 oz ice 32 which is an lubricant enhancer and 1 oz R134-a to replace what was lost. from what i have read this ice 32 really does help ac system by increasing efficiency of compressor lubrication. My wife who drives the car says the ac is colder and kids complain that car is too cold. Thats not bad for an 8 year old vehicle with 110,000 miles on original compressor.
