This appears to be identical to the one that has a bar & shield cut out (I can't type the company name), same thickness of material, same pattern. I'm all about me some genuine parts as a rule, but I just cannot see paying $75 instead of $15 for essentially the same thing.I may revise this later if the material is not good quality and deteriorates, but it's looking good to me right now. At the price point difference, I'll give it a whirl.

I came across a version of this from Harley but it was more than double the price for this one. I was able to read the instructions and easily install it on my bike. Not I do not have to worry about my boots making a mess of my exhaust pipes or damaging my boots. I believe it is well worth the price. I would recommend this to others.

The ad states it fits "'86-later Touring CVO and '09-later Trike Models." I needed one for my 2022 Harley-Davidson CVO Tri Glide, so I took a chance and ordered this chrome model and one from Harley-Davidson at 5x the price. They seem to be exactly the same (weight, chrome, design, parts), except the HD has the HD sign imprinted on it with installation instructions. Note: IT IS NOT MADE TO FIT A CVO TRIKE WITH KAUHANA FOOTBOARDS, but the standard footboards. I figured out how and where to drill the required hole and used a spacer to level off the bottom attachment (see picture), else it would wobble and hit the chrome exhaust pipes. Also, the ad states it will allow the floorboard to flip up - IT DOES NOT ALLOW IT TO FLIP UP. Since It is on my trike, it will not flip up due to turns and falling down. 5 stars for value but offset for hard installation which took 2 hours and some "Iowa Farmer Mechanic Skills".

Has been installed on a 2016 fatboy with the Vance and Hines big radius exhaust with no issues. Will update if it starts rusting apart etc. - it is garage kept so shouldn’t.

The idea is great, as I have melted some tennis shoes on my last Harley, so this time I decided to try this out on my new Trike, and it is a good idea to add this deflector plate. The install was simple and required drilling a small hole on the foot plate. This required removal of the rubber footpad first, and I removed the entire footboard plate to make the install easier. Then it was just a metter of bolting it all back onto the bike. After a short ride, I have decided this was a good idea, and it performed just as needed without any big oversized adaptor. It actually looks like a factory install. I give it 4 stars due to no install instructions, but otherwise it is a welcome upgrade.
