Minhas tortilhas não estavam esticando, apliquei mais força e o produto quebrou na base.

This is NOT cast iron, it’s coated with some sort of paint that chipped off the first time I used it all into my tortilla dough. So unhealthy and gross. And I had it a couple weeks before using so I missed the return window. Such a bummer because this is unusable.

I have struggled to create slim cheesy keto tortillas for our taco nights and always end up with them being way too thick. Now, I prepare my tortilla 'dough', roll up a ball of it, squish in the tortilla press and fry. Perfect every time.

The itembis strong enough and light too. It does not work good. The tortilla shrink quickly and remain much smaller than expected. Will suggest to by a larger one to make the required tortilla size. At least you should be ordering 3 inches larger and remember you have to press couple of times and may not get the size that you expected.

This tortilla press works great. Just cut open a freezer weight zip lock bag along the sides, put masa ball inside, put in the press, close press and apply LIGHT PRESSURE Using a tortilla press doesn't require heavy pressure. In fact, heavy pressure will likely break the handle. Clean-up is fast and easy: just rinse, dry and put away. Don't use a dishwasher. Washing in a dishwasher will likely tarnish the press and shorten its useful life.

Never in my life did I make tortillas before buying this press. You do need to cut a plastic freezer bag to use with it, to keep the tortillas from sticking. I have found it to be relatively easy to use, even as a beginner. My son and I do not eat gluten and the corn tortillas from the store don't taste very good, so I bought this to make our own fresh corn tortillas. I use a mix from the store. I add some salt and lime juice to the mix and I think it improves the taste. Go ahead and invest in a nice cast-iron griddle, if you don't already have one. I set aside a couple of hours and make a big batch of tortillas and freeze them. They freeze and thaw really well.

This press works exactly as it should, but here are some tricks. First, keep a can of Pam handy. Second, instead of plastic or waxed paper, cover the press plates with parchment paper. Next, spray both press plates and sheets of parchment paper generously between presses. Place ball of dough off-center next to the hinge and farther from the handle. Gently press. If it requires force, your dough is too stiff. Add a tiny amount of water. Finally, when peeling away the parchment, remember tortilla is delicate. Peel gently and leave one side attached to the parchment paper. Cook 30 seconds, peel away the parchment, and then turn the tortilla. (I cook them 30 seconds per side, 3 X per side) Spray and reuse the parchment paper. One more trick: use a griddle or large skillet. I used an 8" skillet the first time and had no room to maneuver the spatula.

I started making tortillas at home, was using a rolling pin but was not able to get the dough thin enough for even cooking. This tortilla press works great - i am able to quickly and easily press the dough to a thin size.
