I have used these filters on motorcycles for many years without any problem or issue of any kind. I have run them on motorcycles for well over 100,000 miles, changing them at manufacturers recommended intervals, sometimes even further while being on tour when doing an oil change would be inconvenient... with no problems or any adverse engine symptoms. there are certainly more expensive filters that claim to be better, but see no reason to use them as my experience has been 100% positive. I am a high milage, daily rider and long distance tourer and will certainly continue to use these filters as they do the job as advertised while also being reasonably priced.

While I can't honestly say I've used this filter for EVERY single oil change on a bike I've owned that this filter was applicable for over the past 20 odd years, I can say I've used it innumerable times. I've never had any problems with the filter itself or the quality thereof. So many people want to say that Fram makes junk or that this filter isn't a good, quality filter. I don't understand how. They always go on easy, come off easy, and sit there and do their job as well as more expensive filters. I've used them on several different bikes totaling hundreds of thousands of miles of riding, all together. I trust these filters and I don't see the need to use anything else.

I've been using K&N filters on my bike, but when I was trying to do my oil change those filters were really expensive on amazon, and these were on sale. First impressions were "Wow this is small, does this even fit my bike?" went ahead with the oil change, switched my bike over to full synthetic during this change, and wow this is great. I've heard you can get better flow through these cheap filters, but I wouldn't push it to the 10k it advertises. Do regular oil changes, even with full synthetic make sure you do it once or twice a year.

How do I know if it is good or not? I mean, it fits and it is inexpensive but other than that I don't know if is actually doing its job or not. I could be hollow inside for all I know. I expect it isn't, but I don't know. This is the 2nd one I've bought and I'll buy more as needed... it's cheap and arrived quickly.
