Base bolts on and everything fine, but does not roll straight. Very annoying and even worse with weight on it. The wheels will just turn in circles instead of rolling like a normal chair. Don’t buy it.

I got this today and looked forward to repairing my chair with a broken plate. It was pretty easy to assemble, but the wheels gave me a lot of trouble to put in, l think I may have even dented the metal when I tried putting the wheels/casters in...oops Now that's no problem, everything else was smooth....except for one very important thing.MOVING. THE. WHEELS.It's impossible. If I try rolling my chair, even without me sitting on it, it just barely moves. It got my hopes up a few times when it moved semi-smoothly on a few wheels...and then went back to being horrible. I do not know what is wrong with the base that might be stopping the wheels. I REALLY wish I had seen the review about the wheels not moving well earlier. Stop yourself from getting this, before it stops you from moving around your desk!

I used this to replace the base on a well-worn and chewed-up antique wooden "banker's chair." The installation was easy, but specific applications may require customization. I had to add a piece of plywood as a spacer. The chair is very functional, rolls well, and adjusts easily. It was a much better value than replacing the chair. Adjustable height is beneficial for people of various heights in our house. The reclining function is much quieter than the old, rusty spring and is easily adjustable.

When my chair broke distraught was my first reaction. I didn't want to buy a new chair especially over two wheels. When I found this on Amazon I swear I could hear angels singing. Not only did it fit my chair perfectly but it's better and taller than my chair used to be. The only negative is it doesn't come with screws to connect to the seat.

I am pretty heavy set and my chair wasn't having it. It is a good chair because it is cloth instead of cheap leather. This saved me from chucking the chair and start searching for a new one.

The base on my office chair cracked so I measured it and went straight to Amazon to purchase another. This saved me about $300, and fits perfectly. I can't speak on the wheels as I didn't use them. I used upgraded roller blade office chair wheels I found here on Amazon for about $20. (Highly recommend) it's like a brand new chair. 10/10
