I got this to replace my old French press. All French presses are essentially the same. So there really aren't any special features to review. Other than this is the larger four cup version of the press. The build on this particular French press is quite good. It looks like all components are made of premium materials. The press works smoothly and well. It has a nice large, easy to hold, handle. And the glass is quite thin, like the double wall ones. This one is not double wall. But it is thin and strong.

This French press works well. The spout is well cast and produces a nice laminar flow. I can tell that the glass is borosilicate from the color and sound, which is the best glass for coffee equipment.

This is a smooth and expensive-feeling coffee press. I say that because all the materials are polished metal, and well formwd glass. There are no rough plastic parting seems. If you had a friend over, they would assume you splurged on a more expensive unit. The mesh filter is also good quality. I do not see jagged edges on the screen. Its well crafted. I typically make two 20-ounce cups at a time...one for me, one for the wife. This press does not make enough coffee for two large cups even though I ordered the Large French press. So I will resort to using it when I'm only making coffee for myself. The screen rinsed clean quite easily, leaving no grounds stuck behind. I dont see a need to ever put it in the dishwasher. And it's probably not recommended. It's possible that the lid is a metalized-plastic. It's difficult to determine because it feels like metal, but is quite light weight, and doesn't feel like aluminum. I'm generally happy with it since it makes good coffee. It had no plastic-y odors. I would order it again if I needed to.

This AMFOCUS brand French Press Coffee Maker with premium 4 level filtration system to produce delicious fresh made coffee. The fine mesh steel filter will filter out finer grinds than many other french press coffee makers typically do producing a smooth and delicious cup of coffee without unpleasant coffee grinds. Making coffee in this coffee press is very easy. First you heat your water and pour it into the glass beaker, add your ground coffee and let it steep. Let it steep longer for a more full bodied coffee or less time if you prefer a lighter and more smooth cup of coffee but keep in mind the longer you let it sit the cooler the coffee will be when it is finished. The unit feels like it is very high quality and in fact parts of it have an almost mirror finish to them. The press slides and glides down very smoothly overall the the fit and finish seem like top quality. When you are done using this coffee press it is easy to clean with either a rinse in water for a light cleaning or use warm soapy water for a deeper clean. One nice thing about a coffee press like this is you don't need to bother with purchasing paper filters and if you prefer not to use your microwave to heat water you can use an electric kettle to boil your water instead. I am very impressed with both the quality of this item and its generous 34oz size and I would enthusiastically recommend it to anyone interested in buying a french coffee press.

It does exactly what is says. Able to get my ground coffee in without the grounds getting into my cup. Only thing though is that it's not glass it's like a tough plastic.Doesn't seem to be a affected by the heat of the hot water

This unit works but is very hard to clean. My old press was easy to take apart and clean after each use.

It's a fine product, well designed, with very good quality materials. At $11, which i paid,, this is a fine French Press. At $32, it has competition. All French Presses follow the same formula:. Dump in some ground coffee, let it steep for about four minutes, press down the plunger ,and decant. The filtering on this device is a bit too good for my taste. I tend to prefer the rougher taste of coffee from a Moka Pot. But that's my preference, your taste may differ.
