Very thin insulation, but haven't gone thru a season change yet to verify any changes... otherwise nice product.

Most of the reviews for this product are from customers who purchased to reduce the temperature in their garages. It's January in North Carolina, my garage is about 50 degrees, and the master bathroom above it is about 61 degrees, so my goal is to keep some of the cold air out of the garage that's attracted by a giant metal door, and in turn, keep my bathroom temperature a bit warmer. The box arrived quickly, with the tape squares, but no instructions (although the process is pretty self-explanatory, and the reviews here gave me some installation tips). I vacuumed the inside of my door, followed by a wipe down of denatured alcohol (others used a mixture of Dawn and water, but I didn't want to chance that freezing). I then applied the tape squares. For each panel, I used 5 squares...one in each corner and one in the middle. I let the tape "cure" while I cut my panels to the correct lengths. Don't assume that your panels are all the same size, because they're probably not! After I cut the panels, I checked the fit on the door before removing the top liner. Installation was very easy and you can move the panel if you do it quickly before the tape sets to it. The top "row" of my door has windows, so I cut the panels to fit around the windows. Others have suggested getting pieces of black felt to cover the windows for additional insulation, but I'll wait and see how this kit performs first before doing that. My kit came with 24 pieces, and my door is only 16 panels, so I may use the additional 8 panels to double up on some of the panels. I like the fact that the insulation panels are very lightweight, so they won't put a strain on my garage door opener. So far, the garage seems a little bit warmer than before, and I'm anxious to see how this product performs during the summer.

I sealed my metal garage door with these panels and I could feel the temperature is lowered. Now to insulate the attic above the garage.

I used this product to insulate the doors in a 3 1/2 car garage. The panels were lightweight and easy to apply. During days with outside temperatures in excess of 90 degrees Fahrenheit, the garage temperatures have hovered between the high 70s and low 80s. If I open a window and use a 20" box fan, the garage is a fairly comfortable place to work.

I has originally called a garage door company. The man who came to give me an estimate, said it would cost over $1000.00.He said for me to order this particular kind of insulation thru Amazon. It turned out to be so easy and each section fit perfectly. I was quit proud of myself. I would highly recommend these. My garage has been warmer and hope it keeps th garage cooler in the summer.

No tape provided, But the tape they normally send would not work anyway. Buy a good quality two-sided tape from Amazon. Having said that, this product works. Normal Garage Door temperature is 139° f. After installing it the Garage Door temperature now is 106° f.

We were looking for ways to cool our garage down a little bit. This made a difference. It has lowered the temp in our garage by 5-15 degrees depending on the day and the outside temp. Installation was super easy. Trim the piece to size and tape it on. We have a 2 car garage and there was enough left over for us to take extra pieces and tape them up and create a double insulation. Considering other options that are out there, these are definitely the most economical that produce results. Our garage door gets hit by some strong Florida sun. This has made it where it is now comfortable to work in the garage while the sweltering summer heat is going on outside.
