I do like this tool especially the milled handles, but the string that is supplied breaks way too easily. Trying to remove a small spoiler on a Tesla, I went through 15 strings. I don't like giving 4 Star reviews when I like the product, so I will be honest that I WOULD buy this again if needed because the aluminum milled handles are really nice. Just be prepared to break strings constantly. Also a suggestion to the manufacturer, provide a few examples of knots that would be good to use with these handles.

This was a gift for my son. He easily removed the emblems from a 2023 Subaru so that he could install custom emblems. These worked great.

I’m not sure why so many people broke their strings. I didn’t break one and I was able to remove every emblem off my car so I could replace them. This made the job so much easier.

Worked perfectly to remove the Chevrolet bowtie from the tailgate of my truck, so I could install a blacked out version. String didn’t break, like others have experienced, and it left no marks on my paint. Just used a slow, back and forth “sawing” action, and it worked like a charm. I removed the remaining adhesive from the paint with a plastic razor blade and goo gone. I suspect that those who have had issues with this, are moving the string too fast, and that generates more heat/friction. That would certainly cause breakage. The one I used shows no signs if fraying or imminent failure. Just use common sense, and it will work fine for you.

Handles are nice. Strings are weak. Be prepared to get really good tying knots and ordering extra strings.

Tool works as it should. Very easy to use. Clean & quick removal. Only used 3 strings to remove a Chevrolet emblem from a 2010 Camaro, so plenty of strings leftover which should last a lifetime because how often does that kind of task come up for someone that's not in the business.
