The film was so hard pressed together in the box that when started to open up the film (slowly and carefully), it started ripping. Once a rip starts, there's no way to stop it. We tried to tape it up, and it lasted a day, but soon after that it ended up in the trash.

Installed it immediately after receiving product last year. Was easy to install and held up for the whole winter, room did feel warmer with less draft from window. Had some tape left over and tried to use it again this fall in preparation for winter. Used the tape on two windows and the tape did not hold up at all. Immediately after installing the tape falls off the window, even during the blow dry phase when the plastic shrinks the shrinking was strong enough to pull the tape off the window. This happened on two windows I installed the tape on this year so the tape definitely gets old and loses it’s stickiness. Disappointed as there was quite a bit of tape left that now can’t be used and I had to buy new tape.

Instantly feel downstairs being warmer. The HVAC turns on less times now because the house is able to hold more heat. Literally saving so much money by the minute. Wonderful Winter purchase.

For sure insulates whether you want to keep air out or keep it in. I used this to insulate an IKEA cabinet I turned into a greenhouse for my plants. I could not keep it humid enough for my tropical plants and it would consistently sit at 50%, even with a humidifier. I insultated it with this kit and within 5 minutes of closing it and turning on my humidifier, it had already jumped to 64% humidity. Works great.

For context my window was broken in an attempted burglary. Only the bottom panels were broken. My dad installed a replacement glass but it was only single pane. It has a draft and I lucked upon this item. This was easy to install. Took a second to figure out peeling off the tape backing but super easy afterwards.Had a major cold front blowing in and got this installed before the winds increased. In the past the room would loose 10° of its heat and this morning maintained 75° no heat or A/C all night. Before bed thermostat was at 78°. Very satisfied.

This is just a simple plastic sheet. I think it is the same as the food wrap plastic, but a little thicker and larger. The double sided tape present in the package is very low quality product. That tape is frost king brand tape. It is not sticky to the surface for long about 2 hours even with the free of moisture and dust on the surface. On the other hand, the tape is not water proof. I apply mine in the bathroom window and some parts fall off after 2 hours. I didn't use the shower for 24 hours after application. The parts that remain stick on the surface fall off after using shower, may be because of the moisture from the hot water. I use my own glue to maintain the plastic sheet at the same place.The plastic sheet seem to be good. After blowing with the hair dryer as directed, all the winkle disappear. If you look at the window from a distance, you won't even notice, you apply the insulator plastic.Bottom line is if you want to buy this product, you need to have your own glue or use the 3M weather proof double sided tape.
