Perfect when I was recuperating from a hip replacement. I no longer need it, but if I ever need another, I’ll have it. Would also be good if caring for an infirm person.

This works perfectly and is easy to install and also easy to remove. It took probably less than a minute to assemble it. It arrived quickly and accurately, and it's well worth the price. At the same time, there's something about writing review for something that you use as your toilet - just seems strange to me...Thanks!

Recently had a surgical procedure that prevents me from bending and lifting for several weeks. Post op this easy to install sturdy seat has been a God send. Those who complain of shifting may need to retighten over time with use, but I have found the seat very stable. It may not be super suitable for those with wide hips. However, I have had no problems with the width allocation of the arm rests. In terms of leakage, there has been none. The seat cleans easily, and I may just leave it in place following my recovery as it is comfortable and easy to use with a squatty potty. Greatly useful product!

Very sturdy once attached to the toilet.Raised the height making it less of a drop to sit down. The rails offered a safer and much sturdier sit down. The rails allow for a stronger balance when going down to sit. They also aid the same whenstanding up.Don't worry about messy drops. We all poop. The circumference of the opening allows for a clean drop. The only thing you will be cleaning each time you poop is your behind. You don't need a medical reason to use this product. This is great for elderly or anyone needing to raise the height of your toilet and add extra support for balance. I used it and found it very useful myself. I suffer with back issues and found it more comfortable to sit and stand up from the toilet. It took a lot of pressure off my back from where I suffer from. A great deal of pain.

My toilet is short. Definitely not "comfort height". I needed something to enable me to use my toilet after having a total knee replacement and this seat worked pretty well. I liked the width and height of the padded grips and the seat itself was comfortable. It was really easy to install on my 16.5 inch (front to back) round toilet without having to remove the existing toilet seat. What I did not like was the lateral stability wasn't the greatest. If you do not use equal pressure with your arms when rising the seat tips. It never fully came off the commode but if you have balance issues it definitely leaves you feeling unsteady. Also, the seat has no lid on it. If you are looking for a long term booster seat I would consider a seat that bolts onto the existing toilet instead. For short term use this seat is a very good option.

I'm 41 now, having a TOTAL RIGHT HIP REPLACEMENT surgery upcoming. I purchased this based on seemingly positive reviews specifically hygenic cleaning ease, a larger center hole for excriments and the ease of install along with "stability." I spent countless hours of researching for the best elevated toilet seat with handles. I can NOT put any truth in regards to the reviewers who stated this product is stable. I have an elongated seat, lifted the chair up, super easy install, steady and clicked to no more click on tight! I am 5'9 and slender, with some strong upper arm strength. As soon as I used the armbars to test this out and sat on the seat, I realized I have ZERO ROOM on either side of my legs without them reaching over and outwards the seat itself and being stopped by the bars on the right or left. IF and I mean only if, I needed a raiser, this would be manageable. However, I AM GOING TO HAVE AN INCISION from my replacement and if anyone is having a posterior hip replacement, you will rub your incision. My feet dangle a tad, while I'm sitting, which I am fine with, because reading the comments and reviews MOST PEOPLE SAID BEAR WEIGHT AND DISTRIBUTE EVENLY ON BOTH RIGHT AND LEFT HANDS TO LIFT YOURSELF UP TO ENSURE STABILITY. I did just this and had no challenge getting up using only my hands and left leg to the floor to stand. I WILL WARN YOU ALL THAT I WAS AWARE AND ABLE TO FEEL HOW THIS UNIT WILL DEF LEAN ONE WAY OR ANOTHER IF YOU DO NOT ENSURE BOTH OF YOUR HANDS ARE EVENLY DISTRIBUTING WEIGHT! BE CAREFUL PLEASEEEE! There is zero space between the handles to spread your legs to wipe your female front parts or behind, hence most thr post op people stand up to wipe. Even if you took the assistive armbars off, UNLESS YOU ARE A SMALL 3 TO 4 YEAR OLD CHILD your sitting buttocks is going to smoosh to the right or the left of the chair meaning YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SIT ON THIS CHAIR AND WIPE YOUR FRONT OR YOUR BACKSIDE PARTS. There is literally NO SPACE to spread your legs as you are sandwiched in. I will have my plumber come over this evening, after work, and see if he can make it work as it is described to on this seller's page for me. He will identify if I should get another one and send this back asap as in tomorrow! I am trying to be independent after my surgery and I will be dripping urine standing up after I void for sure. So long as I don't have a wet number two, I would be able to wipe STANDING UP. BUT PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, if you or your loved one DO NOT HAVE BALANCE AND UPPER ARM STRENGTH DO NOT BUY THIS MODEL. I AM HONESTLY IN DISBELIEF AT HOW MANY HIGH STAR RATINGS THERE ARE ON THIS. I AM BEING COMPLETELY HONEST WITH THIS REVIEW. THIS IS SAD : ( Fall risks, lack of wiping on the toilet or easy cleaning yay, you decide what is worth it to you. B le s s i n g s K

The product itself is wonderful - right size, easy to put together,However the shipper (FedEx) damaged the unit. The seller did allow for return. Great seller by the way. I’ve asked to be notified once more in stock.

I measured everything before I ordered, and forgot to take in the effect of the expansion of my bottom. So, it really wasn't wide enough and I took out one of the handles. They are very good and the one I left on was very stable. The extra height is a boon to large people. However, the entryway for using the device is way too small for a larger than a normal person. You have to make adjustments depending on the required attempt. I did find it easy to install although I would spray some WD40 or something on the handle legs prior to installation. They are very solid once you install them. I found the unit to be unstable. It moves around upon use and I couldn't tighten it to keep it from moving around. For the record, I'm about 6' 1" or 2" and weigh about 270. I hope that I hit on everything. I tried to say what I wanted to say without writing the great American novel.
